It's kind of understandable. Things seem pretty busy for Kanata lately. Hi tourist, who is your favorite? As for Kanatan, she always does her best to be entertaining. She tries things even when they might fail, like her disastrous call-in streams that she turns into comedy gold. She doesn't get discouraged easily, as you can see from her endurance streams on a bunch of games. She has a very animated and comedic way of interacting with chat and collab partners. And she has an absolutely beautiful voice. I'm sure the others could add more, but this is a good starting point.

To keep it short, it's her "If you can only do your best, do it" mindset, how relatable and self-aware she is, her captivating singing voice and her ability to be entertaining for hours upon hours. Watching her grow and go past her limits is very satisfying. She loves Hololive the way I do and having aspiration to make the most of her possibly limited time here and be a model Hololive member is something I greatly admire. She's also VERY cute.

What first drew me in besides the design was her singing and some early quirky videos and streams she did in her early days. I just love her voice in general, but I really think she has some amazing musical talent that she hasn't even begun to fully actualize. Though what got me intrigued and really made me start following her was watching some zatsudans and seeing how despite having a huge passion for things like idols and hololive, she's a very pragmatic and self-aware, often pessimistic person. Getting to know that side of her made it very easy to feel empathetic while at the same time giving me a larger appreciation for her efforts and perseverance. Before I knew it I was rooting for her and deriving happiness just from seeing her happy. That's really just very simplified version of some key points that made start to become more interested in Kanata though, and it feels like a disservice to her to leave it at just that, but if I kept going there would be no end to it. Other heimins have already raised a lot of qualities I also like about her. Though I do feel the need to point out she also has killer thighs.

For me it's also the fact that she is well aware of how killer her thighs are. It's an unseen bond between her and heimin, an invisible handshake behind the fourth wall, she knows we love it and she knows that we know that she knows that we love it.

One thing I really love about Kanata's voice is how flexible and expressive she is using her range. And especially when that "countryside auntie" voice comes out, I dunno how to describe it but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I don't know why but it's so funny (maybe because of her origins) and kinda hot too, such a gap moe with her design.

But my favorite is when she's calm or talking about something profound, like when replying to some heavy SCs, it's such a gentle voice I forget she can even be an angry hamster. In those kind of moments she really seems like an angel.

It's not impossible that there is a collab in the works, Marine did say that she would be doing all the collabs she had already planned. I agree that it kinda sucks that they can't do their usual impulsive collabs though like the lie detector, I do think that Kanata gels the best with Marine their collabs are so much different than usual for them. Still, I'm sure Kanata is helping Marine as much as she can as she tends to do.

What drew me in first was her cool singing voice. Utawaku are my favorite kind of stream to watch.
Then I saw her doing a stream of my favorite VN. And when I made a dumb long EOP comment about it she picked me out and read it all in broken english and finished with a "I don't know, but I love you~"
So i thought eh I might as well dive deeper. That was at around 250k I think.
And the more I cheer for her milestones over time the more I get attached. Probably part of it is because she's an idol otaku I think she gets the relationship between an idol and a fan.
She's really easy to cheer on because she's always enthusiastic.

Basically her voice, she inspires long term attachment, enthusiasm.
