I believe someone on twitch mentioned that, for a stream with an average CCV of 100k people over 8-10 hours, a final VOD view count would be ~1mil right after the stream.
So every ~hour, you could on average get a turnaround of about 100% of your CCV.
Throw in the fact that CCV on youtube has 'spam view removal' correction added to it, and the fact that people may refresh if the stream is having issues etc and over an hour you can easily end up with a poll that's much higher than the stream's CCV.
Its really fucky to watch the poll votes to CCV hit 100% in under 10-15 minutes though, that just shows that CCV on YT is completely fucked.

As for VShojo growth, Nyanners for instance went from an average CCV of 4k in October 2020 to 8k in August 2021.

That’s great but when you look at what happened in the two prev months (an increase from 2.1k to 4.1k) and the timing you’ll realize it was not that they grew or that twitch audience massively expanded, but that something happened in September 2020 that made the English speaking vtuber scene grew from a mass of 2 views into something viable.

Despite having that average Nyanners only started reaching 10k at all after April 2021, and with the exception of what I assume to be a special event, is not peaking above 14k.
That seems to indicate that the actual size of the Twitch vtuber audience is significantly smaller than the YouTube audience and that Nyanners and the top VShojo girls have a very dedicated audience almost maxing out the total potential audience.

I would say vtubing is doing well, compared to 2019 and 2020, however covid is a HUGE factor to vtubers getting exponential growth.
