The problem is she went from her patented "chaotic comfy" to just plain "comfy" right after HoloEN happened and her senior year of college started. All you have to do is compare her Persona streams to her recent ones to see how it's affected her. The only time she's like that anymore is when she's been playing Omori.

Also, /vt/ is way too gay for her dad. Seriously. I get the appeal but you faggots obsess over him way too much. Hana's stood on her own well since the beginning and only dropped recently because of the reasons I just explained, you fucks act like he and that one time Mick Gordon appeared carried her completely and that's just plain not true. When Hana was in her prime she was a queen of comedic timing, good commentary, interesting discussion with chat and cross cultural references, and that's what carried her. Sadly college literally sucking the life out of her means isn't the case currently.

In the meantime there are some other very lovable girls in NijiID, and Miyu needs helps, please someone cure the otter of her Apex addiction, I just wanna see her play cool games again.

Hana, Cia, Zea, Miyu, and Layla are still my go-tos when I can catch them. I still hop into everyone else streams in NijiID sometimes too. Used to stay up until the wee hours of the morning just to catch their streams when I had nothing better to do. Most everyone in NijiID is a treasure and deserves love.

But none of them quite scratch the itch of Hana in her prime, though they help. Back then, the EN scene was practically a blank slate, so she basically just did whatever she wanted to with nothing to base herself on what successful EN vtubing "should" be.

Obviously things are different now, but I kind of miss the pre-HoloEN days of raw EN vutbing, if I like the HoloID girls.

Back when EN Vtubers were pretty much nonexistent (or they were all just hanging at Twitch), I remember waking up early in the morning or staying late at night just to catch up relaxing streams of Zea playing some random game or Hana talking about random yet interesting shit.
Now, if I want chill vtubers, I have plenty more to choose from that actually fit my schedule better.
It's a huge improvement but I'd be lying if I told you I don't miss the early days

That's because Pekora's mum has shown up a total of 2-3 times. Everyone may get excited when she does show up, but Pekora herself is the main reason you're there since the Mum barely shows up on streams. With how often Hana's Dad shows up on stream, however, you familiarise your audience with his prescence to the point that they expect him to be there every time. Hana basically takes a back seat and becomes secondary in every stream he features in because he naturally has a dominating approach to his conversations.

By that logic, naturally the audience ends up engaging with him more, and take a liking to him more, and that's what makes Hana's channel unique; she has a more interesting person come in to do her job for her while she acts as eye candy. Without the interesting Dad, Hana is JUST emotionally unstable eye candy, and at that point, most people would rather just swap to Hololive to get their dose of moe without all the dead air and outdated zoomer jokes.
