I like to stream casually for my circle of friends and whomever else might drop by, and having a custom live2D avatar would certainly be a fun addition since I'm averse to cameras. But I'd certainly never do it professionally

Society's fucked. I have no doubt vtubers would not be getting as big as they are if it wasn't.
Hell, I'm 80% sure I'd be doing something else besides watching vtubers were it not for current things. I haven't seen a single irl friend in whole goddamn year

I saw a meme once about one of those Wojak characters, this one called "the 19-year-old thinker" where one of the text boxes said, "Listens to music but imagines himself as the performer." I don't know what that's meant to imply, but that's essentially how I've been listening to music for a few years now, and recently, I've specifically imagined myself performing as a V-tuber.
