I don't speak a word of Japanese, so when I was first getting into hololive (pre-EN) I exclusively watched clips. Nene was fairly under clipped, and didn't like her design because I'm a self hating chink, so I didn't pay her any mind. some time passes, EN comes out, more clips of gen 5 get translated and I end up becoming a clown fetishist, and for some reason developed a disdain towards Nene during the Among us stream because she wasn't Polka (in hind sight it was pretty stupid).

Anyway, some time passes, watching Polka clips, stumble upon some golden Nene x Polka clips, discover that Nene is actually really REALLY funny if you give her a chance, finally get around to watching O'riends collab with Kiara since I'm a KFP fag, discover that Nene is also a pretty good singer and can also be really cute if you give her the chance, and then bam, suddenly Nene is my second favorite Holo.

In hindsight, her old costume was cuter, but I'm glad the new ones getting her exposure

She's really sweet and would be my bet for the holo who likes her fanbase the most. She gets annoyed at people for sending empty superchats for wasting there money, and goes out of her way, more than any of the other EN girls, to interact with chat during her streams.

my best recommendation for getting into Kiara is to sit down with a sandwich and some crisps, put your feet up and watch one of her super chat readings, or one of her more laid back streams (Slither.io and Minecraft are both fairly good), and just enjoy whatever tangent she decides to go back and forth with chat about.

Been a while and I haven't kept up with my reps but iirc when Gen 5 debuted Nene used her irl twitter account to follow everyone else's irl twitter accounts, and some autist found her and saw that they have the same chibi art style, which of course led to everyone finding out about Aloe's old twitter antics and her personal info. It's because we have explained this situation 100 fucking times and talking about it more then we have to derails every thread into talking about what happened. On top of the fact the whole thing is really complicated because there were a TON of factors that played into it all happening at once.

We had to make a catch all post for every Aloe thread just to avoid going full roommate discussion. And the Delta thread is planning to make a QRD just to avoid having to waster another thread talking about it. This isn't going to be a unique thing to Aloe either it is just she is the most famous example at the moment.

tl;dr Do Archive Reps and save yourself the trouble because people are tired of explaining it and derailing every thread she gets brought up in.

I didnt dislike Nenechi but she felt like the oddball in the group of an elf, lion, succubus and fennec fox. Then i started to watch Nene through clips and the occasional stream and i immediately understood why she's in Hololive. Nene is absolutely great and has a lovely personality. S U P E R N E N E C H I
Calliope has grown on me. I didnt like her "yoyo its ya boy" Rap image at first but she's good at what she does and i feel like she's way more comfortable now in her position. I also dont like takamori all that much. I feel for Kiara and tried really hard to be more into her streams.. but its just not really for me. I admire her japanese skills and what she does with the Holotalk though. I have mixed feelings with Nyanners, i like her but at the same time i cant handle her peepee poopoo humor all the time. Yesterdays 2 hour stream was great though. I feel pre vtubing nyanners was alot different than this one though but i feel like shes having fun and thats what matters most.
