overbought would fix that indeed, using Ame as an example, she spiked to 22k and ended up at 17k adjusting down to 12k, whether it's to being retarded, following everyone else or neuron activation, people just see a dip and buy back until it gets to pre adjustment price (so yes, Ame's new price will be around 17k), it's kinda fucked
but while overbought would fix the prices it would also fuck over other things, people are just going to be constantly buying coins thanks to them dipping, which is going to make them dip again, thus, making a very cancer cycle where everyone gets a shitload of coins

I don't really have a ready-made solution for that on hand, so instead I'll just go with my knee-jerk gut reaction of "double the cooldown of any overbought coin while it is attempting to return to its actual value". It's a bit simulationist, but market intervention from the feds DOES happen when things get fucked beyond all reason. We are at that point with a lot of coins. Even accounting for inflation, Gura/Marine/Rushi/Peko are overinflated like a furry OC on deviantart, and pretty much every other coin (with a few exceptions) is worse off.

The solution would probably be nerf divs, we are approaching a point where the market fixes itself based on inflation, this is because divs now return 10% or 5% so you have to actually sell things since you soon won't be able to buy all week with just divs thanks to coins being expensive, the problem with overbought is that coin prices are very low compared to the amount of money divs give, so you have no reason or need to sell, just stock up, get divs and buy again
Altough that solution is pretty shit, in terms on game, you'd fix the game sure but you also are going to kill many players and fun, nobody wants constant red days and getting shit returns, its really hard to find a good solution that doesn't compromise anything

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your support. We felt necessary to communicate clearly what has happened with the EN2 prices. Our stance on the parameters and equations which regulate the market is that we do not change them without warning. We want players to correlate market fluctuations to performance instead of us pushing buttons behind the curtains.

That is to say, while today's mooning makes sense from a numerical perspective, using the statistics and parameters you are already familiar with, it is also the result of Susan bogging both subs and views not once, but twice in a row. And then a third time shortly after. Although resilience parameters are currently incorporated into market equations they were not enough to smooth the behavior of EN2 statistics. We do view this spike as unnatural and are currently discussing how to deal with these prices. We will announce our decision as soon as possible.

The recent episode with the spreadsheet has delayed our schedule quite a bit but we are aware of the rampant inflation and will be intervening soon. As some anons already pointed out, dividends are one of the main reasons for continued inflation but only nerfing the numbers would disproportionately affect newer players, since then it becomes harder to catch up the top of the leaderboard. We are discussing a redesign of the dividend mechanic.

Sorry for being awfully vague here, this week devs we'll let you know more as soon as we decide on it. Although I cannot disclose the exact equations we use if you wish to know more, I am here to answer your questions.

I understand why dividends make the market as a whole go up (which I think is a good thing and mimics real markets), but I don't see why they would suddenly cause Mumei and Sana to go absolutely through the roof in the middle of the week.

Mori had good surface appeal and the allure of a musician as a streamer was pretty good. Mori's issue was that her projected personality didn't match at all to her actual personality, and feels very forced. There's no "gap moe" with Mori, it's just autism. Some people like that, but it's not how Deadbeats seemed to want it.
Kronii is actually like that. She's genuine about herself, doesn't hide, doesn't back down from chat, and is openly aware of chat's bullshit. She doesn't tease like "haha you want me to step on you that's gross", she openly says "I'll step on you and you're gonna like it".
She's also, y'know, actually a decent streamer and not overly incompetent at games. I don't know if you've seen Mori solo streams recently, but there's a reason she plays debuff shit: She would suck the life out of actually entertaining games.

It depends on when it occurs really. If it happens around the time of adjustment it will likely be included in the api update but if its close to the api update it won't be. Youtube is weird either way because it'll sometimes skip a day before it applies these numbers to the view counter as well. So far its safe to say nasfaq scrapper is just getting the total view counter from channel api and not getting the views of each video individually and totalling them.

Oshicoiners beware, you might have to exclude coins you own unproportionally many of (Mikochi and Maririn basically made this graph absolutely useless).

You could now draw a line through the middle, coins above that line were a good deal if they throw out divvies like last week, coins below underperformed or were bought way too expensive in comparison.
The graph shows most of the memecoins somewhere on the line, some personal good plays this week (Botan and Kanata early) and that I have Fubuki and Hololive bags I should consider re-investing when we're clear about the next meta.

The more influential an individual holo becomes, the more avenues of choice they have, and the less control the company can exert on them,. While they may bring in more income, this is disproportionately more impactful to them as individuals, and the benefit of that extra hundred thousand or two a year has a good chance of not outweighing their massively increased liability. For one thing, that large income and pressure from their position provides much more incentive to retire much earlier, wasting the mindspace and fanbase investment, among other things, that the company put into them. The same way when Coco left, if Gura or Mori leaves, a lot of people would have the thought cross their minds that an era is 'over'. I can assure you that Cover management, after the Coco saga, had the thought cross their minds at least once: "Maybe we shouldn't have made the exception for her and just hired her as a manager after all." She burnt too brightly.
The fucking chicken, on the other hand, likely will stay on for as long as she possibly can, satisfying the innate sense of Japanese company loyalty as well as representing stability in the EN branch just through her continued presence. At the same time, she has a small but dedicated fanbase that still brings in income in the upper tiers of holos. Because of her comparatively little influence, when she does leave, she will not have colored the holo scene to such an extent that people consider what remains as 'not my hololive'. She is also a collab organizing machine, which means that she constantly bridges the gaps between new and old generations and transitions portions of the latter's audiences over.
Maybe the chuuba herself might disagree, but I put it to you that Cover would rather have a generation of five Kiaras than five Guras. Though they will never announce it publicly, she is probably Cover's ideal image of what an EN holo should be.

I don't think you know how companies actually evaluate staff.
We're talking boomers and investors evaluating streamers. Their measures WILDLY differ from /vt/s, nobody gives a fuck about what they do as long as it adheres to YT guidelines and doesn't create shitstorms against the company image.
Both of those would either lead to demonitization or other hassles the company does not want to spend budget on, simple as, really.
Cover sees ALL their talents as good cogs in the machine, as long as the machine fucking runs. I believe they know more than Niji that unity is better for the image than "having lots of channels", that's why you don't hear Anya or Aki complain about poverty either, as well as there being few instances of chuubas either discussing their own numbers with the viewers or preferring superchats by amount. They exist, but usually leave a bad taste in our mouth.
Behind the scenes, that's just everyday live for them. Of course Cover will have congratulated Gura for her milestones so far. Kiara as well.
We don't hate Kiara because she flopped or is somehow bad in numbers, her numbers are great. But her behaviour around the milestone was kinda ungrateful to her peers. She pissed and moaned about being the slowest EN, meanwhile Mikochi, not even far off in time, reached her 1M after three years of blood, sweat and tears and was beaming with positive energy because she was genuinely so fucking happy it paid off.
