Feels like their job is basically to fill in the gap of viewers who have slipped between the cracks of becoming dedicated EN1 fans, so it would make sense if you were getting lukewarm on EN1 you'd like em better.

Sana charmed the fuck out of me and she's good at video games to boot. Kronii is also funny with the quips and I like her droll commentary but has a lot of dead air.

With Fauna I liked her ASMR stream but that's about it. Rrat seems more oriented to the JP audience and half her streams are in Japanese so I kind of got tired of watching her streams. She's a pretty good singer though.

Sana and Kronii are the most conventionally entertaining so I'm more focused on the growth of the other three, especially Baelz because of her idol potential. She could stand to shout less especially when nothing is happening, but she's entertaining and cooking sim was hilarious. Her volume was fucked in Kronii's stream too, hopefully she gets it under control before her JP collabs.
Fauna is a better game streamer than I thought and she's good with words, although her speech is stilted sometimes. I think she'll become better/more natural at speaking in character. Don't care about asmr so I'm glad she offers more than that.
Mumei hasn't done enough, all I know is she's cute and inoffensive so I have no trouble leaving her stream on, but I wouldn't watch it over another chuuba. Dont know what her potential is but I'm willing to saviorfag for a long time while she finds it.

They're pretty great so far.
Kronii's surly deadpan is something new. Maybe, it'll get tiring eventually, but her role as the one who derailed things constantly in the gartic phone stream was promising.
Fauna's debut presented her as a bunch of the JP holos glued together. So far she's been a decent gamer and her streams are just... really positive energy. We'll see if she cracks since she constantly hints at having a bit of an edge.
Sana's been great in collabs so far. I haven't been pulled into her actual streams since the games haven't been interesting.
Bae and Mumei still need to find their stride. As is, Bae hasn't blown me away; probably because of how similar she seems to Ollie superficially. Mumei seems like she still needs to get comfortable.

A disappointment. She's the opposite of everything me and lots of people have been expecting. Too shy, too dumb, too normie. Like she doesn't belong here. I like rhytmics, so she's lucky, but I can't say it's what I've been expecting from her. It's like literally the only chuuba which had any actual expectations and none were met. Sana does astrology streams and can sperg out abou astronomy, why can't Mumei? It's her second week and nothing of her theme is about to be seen. Baelz, Kronii and Fauna could, why can't Mumei? Owlfags' cope that "she's cute so it's all good" is, well, cope. A streamer being cute is not enough. She's not entertaining at all. If you're a saviourfag then, well, you're a saviourfag, thus your opinion shouldn't matter. Her song seems pretty generic, I'd blindly guess it's a song from new KonoSuba. It's a shame that such a good model has gone to waste. Expected a chaotic vtuber, got a chaotic vtuber. She does it well. Although I have to agree that she's not as chaotic as Ollie used to be, but maybe that will be constant. She knows how to put a good show and that's important. I can't say I'm fully satisfied, but I'm not disappointed and she clearly deserves a chance.

Sana: Watched her to see if she would be good since her 1st stream was at a good time for me. Glad I did, she is funny thoughtful, and always willing to try new things. Easy #1 of the group. I really hope her and Ame have a space review.
Kronii: Very flat and dry, but is still pretty thoughtful for her audience. Her stream times work pretty ok for me so far.
Fauna: Outside of the GFE shit, she is a strong streamer and so far the better gamer of the group. She is pretty chill and is very Ina esque in how comfy her streams are.
Mumei- stream times are meh for me. Game choices are kinda weird, but im still willing to give her a try.
Baelz- Have only really been able to watch VODs since she streams in the middle of the night or really really early for me. Probably will just watch if she is on.

Sana - good game selection, best console (controller) gamer. bubbly personality, genuine enthusiasm for streaming, lore not wasted
Kronii - sex, dead air issues but has good highlights, best voice
Baelz - enthusiasm feels forced at times, commentary is reactionary to gameplay only like early youtube let’s players, 2nd best zatsudans, not actually chaotic, leads collabs
Mumei - worst commentary and gameplay, has art skills , cute voice, lore wasted due to politics, autism noises, least presence in collabs

Sana - I got excited about her at first, but her accent totally turns me off. One of the worst voices in the entire hololive. The games she chooses are interesting so it still keeps me going


Fauna - Didn't interest me at all at first but is currently my favorite of the new gen. Perfect voice, funny and seems genuine while streaming, I feel that she is having fun.


Kronii - By far my favorite in the debut, not anymore. she is too professional, every vtuber has some flaws, not her, she is just an actress who is there to play her role. this turned me off a bit, but well, she has good taste in games, if she is playing something interesting, I will watch

Mumei - Cute and clumsy, too bad she only chooses boring games to play, I still have good expectations about her

Baelz - the only one I really don't care about. too fake, too generic, loud, lack of originality, zero interest for her

Some of the holos explicitly made this clear you know like Matsuri and Fubuki, who have voiced other characters as their roommate without being referred as their holo name. She can be very stiff and awkward at times, instead of saying what she thinks it's like she has to process and come up with what she should say, so it comes off as fake.
Only time will tell if it's her settling into streaming or if it's really fake and she needs to get better at it.
Right now it's a worse version of current Mori.
If you are just playing a role (not the Council role, just 100% faking a streaming persona), then you need to play it well.

Fauna- I went in expecting green lamy, I got green lamy and I am perfectly content.

Sana- I'm close to saying she just isn't for me, nothing wrong with her, but her game choice I don't care for, and what I have watched I've had a hard time focusing on. Going to continue to give her more chances, especially when I see her streaming a game I like.

Kronii- I really like her and not for SEX like kronii general, I just find that her humor is very close to my own, but with her playing up narcicism more than I would which is fine.

Mumei- Like a lot of people have said, she's kind of bad. Maybe it'll get better but like EN1, I'll probably just skip her and never come back

EN1 got a huge buff for being the new novel EN gen. The climate for that debut won't be replicated due to world events and meme relevance
Stuff like korone eekum bokum and gawr gura A were taking off, and to a lesser extent fubuki scatman and miko boat/faq with Coco bringing in an EN audience to hololive.
Sub counts this gen aren't a good measure of success, Sana for example had around 130k subs purged, her channel hit 100k sub milestone three separate times.
What matters is the view counts, 10-15k averages aren't as good as GEN1 but far from failure, the talents still have time to settle in with holomyth collabs on the horizon
This gen lacked what GEN1 had with the meme relevance and climate, there hasn't been a moment that took the gen by storm like Gawr Gura A, so the results have been muted and confined to people who already watched hololive.
The rollout was also a factor in dampering hype with a debut delay after three lore videos. To hardcore hololive fans it felt more like "lets get this over with" rather than looking forward to debuts.
