I've pissed off a streamer, but I don't know what I did. Chat in their streams sometimes, and up until ~3 days ago, seemed to be fine. As of ereyesterday though, both the streamer and their chuuba friends skip entirely over my messages in chat, regardless of message length.

It'd be menhera of me to reach out, especially as I've spiralled this before friend's wedding, he didn't, I was just going mad. But it pisses me off to be completely blanked

I'd think that something went terribly wrong. It's easy to get a buff just for an expensive model and a bit of promotion. Moneybird kind of fucked up this way by spending big dosh on her model and features but stuck to YouTube after streaming there stopped being viable for indies. At least she managed to fix this by moving to twitch and continuing her networking reps. If you spent a lot of money and are pulling <10 viewers then you are either completely neglecting your self-promotion or are a terribly dull streamer who can't keep an audience.

The recommendation is to just get a shitty png, do some test-streams for stream-reps and figure out whether streaming is for you.
You can slowly work yourself up, if you are entertaining and enjoy streaming, even if you might have no viewers at first while you are figuring things out.

Some people just have a different perspective on money and are okay with throwing it a hobby. I'm more bothered when it actually works. I get that high production values are nice to see on stream, but some of these chuubas are entirely forgettable regardless and it feels bad to see viewers flocking to them and not the chuubas that I like and want to see grow.

Again, I prefer the former. It's safe to assume that all of your viewers are aware that there are seven days in a week, so with a schedule laid out similarly to the one on the left you can very easily tell what the days are and which ones have streams without even opening the image. The layout on the right is neater and more compact, but you need to look at it more closely to know which days will have streams.

You can Google "how not to be a boring person" or "how to be an interesting person".

"Streaming is not for you" is more about figuring out whether YOU like it. Nobody else can tell you that.

Getting into the groove could take some time for deliberate practice streaming. Listen to your vods, listen to others. Do your reps. Become the best version of yourself. The only one you should compare yourself against is yourself. Looking at people further along the path (or with developed skills) should serve as inspiration.

If it doesn't work out you'll still have the results of your reps.

Proof that a fancy model is just graphics. Think of video game graphics, and how with each new generation, the novelty wears off pretty quickly, but a good game? That will still stay fun regardless. It's an accessory to the stream, not the main draw. Your main trait is how entertaining you are. Personally, I think your voice makes a bigger difference than your model. If you can speak charismatically, it goes a lot further to making you fun to watch.

Here's how I would do it if I ever come up with a character and stream:
-start with a PNG
-just focus on creating a fun atmosphere, since that's what people stay for
-Art is great for promotion and schedules, so that would be my biggest budget slice besides getting a good mic. Building hype on Twitter and furthering fan interaction once you get people excited enough about your character to draw their own fanart is important.
-gradually build up for a 2d model and have a celebration stream when it's done

If you don't get success after a certain time, just don't freak out about it and quit. You've got to know when to fold 'em. Don't dig yourself deeper, thinking if you just drop another $1,000, that you'll suddenly get more viewers.
