Not necessarily. For instance, I now only watch Gura while I also used to watch Ame and Ina. Mori and Kiara didn't appeal to me. I switched from Ame and Ina to Rosemi and Petra and have found them to be entertaining. I'm also watching Pomu and am staring to watch Finana. En 2 all appear worthless to me sans the rrat, but she belongs to the same type as Gura as far as what we've seen.

Point is Niji EN is actually great and more worth watching than most of HoloEN and especially EN2.

There was no demand or want for a NijiEN. The Hololive fanbase in the west grew organically through the Japanese talents. Chuubas like Korone, Miko, and Fubuki were big in the west before they even announced they were creating an EN branch. Once they did create that EN branch the fans naturally started viewing due to that organic growth.

Then you have NijiEN. Nobody was asking for it and nobody wanted it but they forced their way into the market anyway. They had no existing fanbase and the only fans who watch them are curious tourists who won't stick around and contrarians who are "too cool" for Hololive. This is not a recipe for sustained success and they will inevitably fall into irrelevance.

I'm not sure. The benefit would be that she wouldn't be losing 30% to Niji and she could push her sex stuff as far as she wanted within Twitch's rules with no managerial oversight. She could even vibe herself on chaturbate with Melody if she wanted or do ERP ASMR.

Downside would be if her fans didn't follow her to another company and platform and the sense of betrayal that it would generate. It's not the same as Zen leaving a bunch of 2-view losers no one cares about but the 2nd or 3rd biggest western vtuber organization.
