No. She applied for EN1 but was passed over because she had no streaming nor content creation experience. She debuted as an indie in July 2020 to get that experience. She applied to NijiEN in December 2020, and got accepted in early February 2021 (EN2 auditions opened mid-Feb 2021). Her medical stuff didn't happen until late March 2021.

So much for Cover being able to spot a "diamond in the rough" and their vaunted scouting process. Honestly I didn't care too much about the Cover nepotism because some of their best streamers (Pekora, Korone, Okayu) got in off of it. Hololive talents aren't really disposable unlike that of Nijis. If a talent of theirs dies, they'd have to wait another year for replacement, a thing they can't afford to risk. For Nijis, they really don't care that much if the Coco vs Lulu graduation numbers is of any indication.

Yeah, I disagree here. A streamer dying is good for Hololive because it frees up a member slot since Cover doesn't want to be like Niji and have a fuck ton of vtubers. The vtuber also dying let's them rake in all the cash and let's them curb any potential yabs the streamer might cause. Not to mention considering how much Cover is trying to invest in vtuber lore, a dead vtuber would greatly contribute to that.

Cover doesn't really need more cash because they're already swimming in it. Anycolor however needs an impact story to make big waves in the western market so a talent like Pomu dying would be ideal. Besides it wont really affect their morale because the talents in the main branch probably don't even know EN exists. I mean clique culture is pretty much prevalent over there.
