Not Post-Mao Cultural Revoloution Chinese, or People's Republic of China *Taiwan Chinese, but actual Chinese.
You might say such people don't exist -- but I'm not saying they can't have lived on the mainland or Taiwan, I'm simply saying they follow traditional Chinese culture from either the classical period or the Qing dynasty.

As an example of what I mean: there are plenty of Japanese V-Tubers. There are plenty of Japanese V-Tubers with traditional designs. But how many actually live in rural Japan and consistently act/are following traditional Japanese culture in their streams? Some. But far from all.

You mean larpers? Culture defines a group, not an individual. You don't just wake up one morning and decide you want to be a medieval feudal serf today and maybe a 18th century American fur trader tomorrow.

They never saw themselves as Chinese and actively suppressed the culture. They were basically giving away rights to foreigners on the basis of "well we're a minority so we aren't going to rule that long anyway"

Daniel Day-Lewis did to prepare for the Last of the Mohicans. Literally lived off the land for six months in the North Carolinian wilderness; hunt, cleaned, made leather out of his kills. Made his own canoe.

No, I'm not joking in the slightest.
