At the time of writing, only Kiara's country had detailed fanmade geography.
For every other country, anon just assumed there was no mountains/rivers instead of trying to make them up himself. The consequence of that is that almost everything becomes the Sahara/Australia.

Phoenixland is thought to be futuristic / sci-fi both by the fan art and by the officially sanctioned Usual Room.

Part of the reason Phoenixland is going to be technologically advanced is its emphasis on capitalism and German industrialization, where everyone is expected to work. Similarly, Ameland would also have rampant industrialization due to Watson Industries interconnecting every corner of the map. Atlantis, on the other hand would be littered with perennially abandoned public projects, but would likely just end up purchasing most of their mechanization from its more ambitious neighbors, meaning its infrastructure would be highly patchwork.

This would serve to make wars inevitable. Rivers don't separate nations for the long term. They make the land more valuable.
