Also, yeah, since they actually announced it 1 week in advance, the word will spread and there's a lot of hype for this gen already. + it's a holiday in ID, so many can watch.

The commonality between both is that both started as indies and, hence, likely own at veryl least the character and the original design.

Rest of the talent can leave but their characters likely wouldn't be able but for Kuzuha and Suisei it may not be legally impossible that you could see them as themselves on Sony

If we're talking about vtubing music career, assuming Suisei has no intentional of quitting vtubing and becoming an irl artist, then I don't see why she'll leave. She's already at or near the apex of the vtubing music world in terms of numbers like subs, MV views, cover views. Suisei gets more views on her releases within 24 hours than most vtubers do in months. There's maybe a Vsinger like Kaf or RIM with an original song that has more views, but no one except Mori has Suisei's ability to grab views. For example, Ghost is still getting 300k a week and it's been months. She has no reason to move to Sony when she's already doing so well.

>Kuzuha only sings as a hobby.
This is true tho. It shows how ignorant many of the anons here are when they think Kuzuha is music-inclined like Kagami when the appeal of his singing is that he's a gamer that sings rarely. Don't get me started on the idiots who think he'll go indie.

exactly. ChroNoiR is supposedly an idol unit but he and kanae never even released an album of their own (they've been in compilation albums and those anniversary songs though). it might change considering they've been putting in more effort recently with things like vocal and dance lessons. but even then kanae seems way more into it than kuzuha, because he actually does singing streams (despite how bad his unedited vocals are) and actually drops covers that he works hard on.

>some days 5-7 Nijis in the top 16 with just 1 Holo stream.
You're referring to the daily ranking with non-vtubers right? Some days, the cutoff for the top 20 is like 25k, which most vtubers can't get with regular streams. VNUMA's death actually raised people's standards to retarded levels since we have to look at non-vtuber numbers now.

>Niji was dominating for max and average viewers in July
Maybe my perception is warped, but July was a big month for Holos as well. Just some streams that had numbers as good as Koshien buffed Nijis (cutoff point at 40k since theres too many 30k+ streams to list):
- Coco's graduation and the buffed streams tha followed (suisei karaoke, miko picture book, fubuki zatsu)
- Marine 1 mil 3D concert (139k)
- Some Marine zatsus got ~40k
- Ayame's return stream (49k)
- Pekora/Luna collab (71k)
- Suisei album announcement karaoke (49k)
- Subaru cooking fried butter (48k)
- Subaru police (93k)
- Kanata's axolotl arc (55k and many other 30k+ streams from her and other holos)
- Irys debut (91k)
- NISSIN curry special (61k)
- Pekora vs Noel gambling (48k/44k overlapping)
- Rushia 3D live (108k)
- Matsuri 3D live (47k)
- PekoSora MC collab (44k)
- Hachama return (74k)
- Hachama cooking/call-in (50k)
- Marine costume reveal (136k)
- Marine Birthday concert (124k)

Nijis had strong numbers in July too between the new debuts and Koshien streams, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they dominated when Hololive had one of it's best months too. I don't have the Niji numbers on hand, but in August so far, I don't think anyone but Kuzuha has gotten over 40k playing Powerpro. Most of Niji's big numbers in August are all Kuzuha actually IIRC. There was the soccer tournament a few days ago, but that was <40k for all 3 POVs.

Marine's Unison is probably the most expensive so far and she said back in January that it would cost around that much.

I not only agree but I'm listening too. This is the numbers thread tho, and her numbers surely don't reflect the quality of her work.

In both hers and Aki's case it can't be explaned away with
>they don't put enough effort
as it can in Mel's, Iofi's and Risu's case.

I have a theory that the voice and the "excess energy" put out by Kiara filters a segment of the audience that would, otherwise, be OK with her content.

Kiara has actually been shifting her streaming hours into Ina's timeslot (12-1pm PST), perhaps to see if it's a better timeslot than her usual 7-8am PST, and the results so far are not great. Her karaoke stream peaked today at 5.7k and her minecraft stream yesterday at 5.8k, which used to be at least 8k. Not sure if there's youtube fuckery going on because every Kiara stream has those weird sawtooth spikes.

On the bright side, her VOD views are doing okay. She still gets 100k+ for most of her streams, altho it could also be because her streams are long af. Pic related is particularly bad. Only 162k for a 10 hr stream is rough.

That's mostly a rrat, Gura is just deathly afraid of confrontation and running afoul of management so she's overly cautious when it comes to permissions unlike her gen mates who are more of the ask for permissions later kind of people, so people interpret that as management being more strict on her when it's really just her personality.
Also the main problem with approval for her is that she lives on the other side of the world from where the decision makers are so any approvals would at minimum take at least 12 hours if not a full day. Short of flying her to Japan there's not really much that can be done to rectify that.

Express lane for ideas sounds like you haven't had a job in your life. Just because she's the most subbed doesn't mean she gets special treatment when we know other talents are getting more money for the company either in SCs. Sponsorships or events. But that is not the case, people can easily just sue Cover for discrimination or just outright complain because of these. Talents have complained openly when certain things don't go their way, It's more likely that Gura just can't decide shit and is lazy to even organize her thoughts to even think of anything grand or overreaching. Do you really think that NND by Risu took several weeks for approval? Or that Ame took months for that stupid she thought? Or the Gura bath stream took her months to get an approval? It's more likely that she thought of something Monday. Sent it for approval. Got the approval Thursday and totally forgot about it.

You truly never worked in a company whose workforce made predominantly made of women.
Even a WHIFF of perception of favoritism and two things happens immediately with the end result being a total collapse
1) a full blown mutiny out of the perception of unfairness, with total dissolution of whatever cohesion there was in the group
2) at the same time, very ironically, the majority of them will start pulling every trick in the book (specially the more womanly tricks) to become the favorite and benefit from the double standard

The only way to prevent that from ever happening is
1) getting a ruffless “queen bee” to be the manager in charge of liaison with the rest of management, one that every employee below her both respects and fear
2) have CLEAR standards for requests and approval for anything which applies equally from the most senior to the most junior (whatever way you’re ranking them).

Been in a company like that before, it is amazing what a good “queen” can do to improve both morale and productivity and reduce attrition between employees

I doubt, she’s most definitely not in charge of approvals, she said she’s not management either but “staff with special assignments” or something.

YuujinA seems to have started for Cover as Sora’s personal assistant, something that seems common given how much it is a trope in animes.
If I were to guess she started like that Saori from Kakegurui
>the assistant for the idol one, Yumemi
and took over more supporting tasks when Hololive’s cast started growing: managing pages, the official channel, helping with tech issues.
