Just finished Everhood VOD, man, I'm salty I had to wagecuck during this. She was awesome, game was fantastic, and it's reminded me that she is actually super cool and not just cute and dorky.

Mori wasn't even my original oshi. I was a pretty devout Teamate and basically switched to Mori as a meme and to branch out a bit. Gradually, however, my enjoyment of her stopped being ironic. I couldn't tell you the specific moment or stream where I was totally won over, but like the tide she crept up on me and now I love her.

I know she hears this all the time from hundreds of deadbeats so the impact of such a sentiment has been lost, but her companionship - despite only being through a screen - means a lot to me and keeps me going.

She's unironically a better role model to me than my own parents with how dedicated she is to things she enjoys. Her story of grinding at Applebee's to be able to move to Japan is pretty inspiring and I wish I was even half as motivated as she is.

I love her and want to support her in whatever she does, whether that's within Hololive or out. I want to marry this dork!

it was from before the game actually came out, at least. even toby fox shilled that game til the eliza lam stuff came out about it. also garoad (valhalla ost guy) did a couple of tracks for yiik too, and they're really obviously cut valhalla tracks which is very funny, especially considering they're 2 of the best in the game and 2 of the only times the game ever approaches having an actual atmosphere

anyway it was obviously forced on them by ysbyrd and out of their control. also yiik has a section with jill in it acting hilariously out of character, clearly not even the slightest bit of communication between the devs to try and get that shit on model.

also the irony is that the art style of valhalla showed that those awful looking character designs are actually ok when presented in a good artstyle. and you can also headcanon it that yiik is so bad that people in the valhalla universe are cosplaying it ironically decades later, which works for me because i genuinely think yiik is one of the worst things ever made and is fascinating for that reason.

I am honestly not sure whether I would agree. All of them have a garbage diet.
But I remember chicken being the only one that actually cooks some decent stuff herself.
For fitness we genuinely don't really have any way of knowing, because while Gura was clearly when she did her RFA streams she also was out of breath after 5 jumping jacks recently and managed to fuck up her ankle.
Ame is a complete enigma.

I had the same sort of development like you anon, except my chuuba experience sort of started with Coco, Haachama (both watched most of the time for the crazy shit they pulled), Korone (made me feel for the eekum bokum video) and Gura for the most part (was kind of nice to see her but it wore off me), Calli caught my interest around the next week or so since I found about her rapping and free talk repertoire and found out that I could relate to many things she talks about, her karaoke sessions are great, and you can tell she tries her best to appeal to both sides of the pond.

Eventually after her I began looking for many other chuubas for no particular reason (both holos, nijis and some indies), however after Coco's graduation I felt the need to set a stone on what I wanted to watch, at least from a mentally stable and personal productive PoV since it fucking hurt like a punch to the gut, so I decided to stick with only the oshis with a production value of the sort, that is, Mori, Suisei, Watame, and now Irys, in that particular order, Calli stays as the priority for the things mentioned above.
