It's okay, not my primary source of enjoyment but they have their place. I prefer games and comedy.

Story-based, retro stuff, not 80 hours long. Modern games tend to have good story but also short length which is a good balance for streams, even if they suck to pay 60 dollars for lol. Games with viewers are also THE BEST.

Forever, but I feel guilty after a week and I've had to go for a month once. I waited 150 days for my oshi to reincarnate after being fired, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

with something like paperbag's zatsudans, you just get to shoot the shit with him. that's always something most viewers can get into
meanwhile if there's a topic, sometimes it's something i can get into while sometimes it isn't, so those can get a bit iffy. i like what one of the other corpseshills did yesterday where they linked the fantasy craft pdf so everyone could get a vague idea of how the system worked

yeah, that's one type. ASMR in general is just about how auditory signals trigger those tingly sensations. there are object-based asmr videos like cutting soap bars and crinkling canvas fabrics and stuff. Hiiragi Yuu does good work just by talking and incorporating a vocal fry into her speech.

whisper-asmr is just the default because it's probably the easiest to get into, but also kinda hard to be really good at. but a lot of vtubers aren't entirely experienced with it, so they just start with whisper-asmr. that's why there's so much of it.

You're just generalizing here, right? VTubers are Virtual Youtubers, born from /vy/ at a time when very few streamed. The fact that Nijisanji, and by extension Hololive and .LIVE shaped this hobby into being as reductive as possible doesn't change the origins.
Tapping, brushing, water/ice sounds, scratching, there is a lot of concepts to ASMR. And it is streamable, just means you'd have to take semi-frequent breaks to whisper in response to chat.
The key however, is just like how VTubers have become reductive, so has ASMR. There is a large audience who just want whispering/ear-cleaning and some of them aren't even there to get an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR... literally).

Yeah, maybe those are more doable than I initially assumed. I think tapping/water sounds would be fantastic. I have been suggested ASMR (as a streaming type) but I would only do the things that Hiiragi Yuu does, and I think that type of content works best pre-recorded.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Doom endurance stream tonight! I totally failed! Got through maps 20-27, with 28-30 left for next time. After 8.5 hours, I suffered 610 deaths, and tried to speedrun moving from hope to nihilism. Might have a carpal tunnel flareup now, but it was fun!

As punishment, chat decided on penalty songs for karaoke, which will include Barbie Girl, and something by Nickelback. So, look forward(?) to that!

How come no one talks about Trickwi on /vt? She's blowing up fast. She only debut her live2D like a month ago, and already averaging around a thousand views. Also her avatar is amazing, basically what Irys should've been.

Not massively so? Vivi went from ASMR to gaming, and it does mean I don't go to ALL her streams anymore, but she seems just about as popular? Not seen any major rebrands amongst long-term streamers, mostly small indies

1- Yes if the streamer is actually entertaining.
2- Karaoke.
3- Honestly any game they actually enjoy playing, its not fun when they're not having fun playing.
4- If I actually like them, I won't care how long. But over a month is a long time. But shit happens so I personally wouldn't care.
5- I don't care about schedules. Just knowing when they're going live is enough, having a full week schedule with all the stuff they're gonna do doesn't matter to me.
6- The only example is vei. I used to watch her 3d model streams and I don't need to say how it went after she got her live2d model. But to me personally, I don't watch her anymore for other reasons than that.
7- I'm depressed.
