There's a few things to bear in mind, too:

- Some riggers will only rig from certain artists, or will offer special deals, or they need to speak with the artist. It's why you might need to speak with the rigger and artist before commissioning either.
- some riggers will re-use assets for generic expressions if they're not included (floating hearts, shocked wide eyes, etc), but some will only include ones from the artist. Again, you'd need to speak with the rigger first
- some artists get super pissy if you want to use other artwork as partial assets, or you want a clothing redesign from anyone else. Some will do clothing redesigns for you, some won't.

Pretty much, you need to figure out what you want ahead of time, and start contacting them, especially if you're going for high-end riggers/artists. But the fame boost from it can be substantial

Different anon from the past thread that had the same problem, but I'm really worried about my Tsunderia audition.. it only has one view, and they stopped watching at 0:33 approximately, which I don't understand because it wouldn't make sense for them to stop there for a couple of reasons. I don't know if I somehow messed it up without knowing. I really wanted to get into Tsunderia too, so I put a lot of effort into the audition tape.. The only way im trying to cope is thinking that they are going in order, and since I sent it too close to the deadline they watched a bit but went back to watching other videos that were sent before mine.. Now I don't know if I should apply to other companies while auditions are open (Tsunderia still is the one I genuinely want to get in because I've been a fan for a while) or wait a bit to see if the views increase in some kind of miracle.

Hey femanons, i was just wondering you know, when are you getting a real fucking job so you contribute to the household instead of being a mid 20s fujo neet, instead of trying to collect a gaggle of simps. Maybe have a little bit of shame and feel a little sorry for your parents who have to put up with your bullshit. Nothing fancy, just like apply to a CVS or Walmart, Burger King, you know. Nothing crazy, just so you have a little money to at least help pay for the internet bill since you are the one who mainly uses it anyway, haha. Like imagine being a dad and a mom, being proud of your daughter having all this expectations and then boom, shes this this egirl whos long term life plan is hoping some other neet somewhere in the world forms a strong enough parasocial relationship with her anime persona to throw money at her. A little shame never hurt anyone femanon, no one is asking the world of you, only asking that you get off your ass couple of times a week for a part time so you can earn a paycheck. Yes, yes i know you were bullied in high school, i know, that Stacy dated your crush,, yes you saw them kissing and the jealousy swell up in your chest and tears flew out of your eyes as you tightly held your copy of Inuyasha Volume 9,, how dare that bitch , who has her life together , kiss him. Yes i know that guy that said he loved you in community college (that you dropped out of) only wanted to stick it between your legs, flop on top of you and then finish in your mouth, a couple of times a month, that really sucks, like ugh hes such an asshole. But your are like 25 now femanon, you cant live in the past forever and that internet bill and those sanitary pad, that your parents pay for aren't gonna become free any time soon you know. What do yall think about trap vtubers?
I know it worked for Tamaki but she had a history of trap manga backing her. And there's that gura knock off EN indie who does it and is moderately successful.
I figure it lets me use cute female designs and outfits as I want while also letting me use a cute boy model periodically too. And I get to use both my feminine and masculine voices.

My only concern though is it might filter the men looking for cute grils since the character is technically male. And it might filter girls looking for cute boys because its dressed like a girl.
And then there's the issue of attracting actual trannies who don't get the appeal of cross dressing boys.

With this guy as a direct reference, the problem I have with his: He's friendly and his cadence is great. His sinuses just sound super clogged. He might have a milk allergy and be ignoring it, or eat and drink a lot of sugar. Cardio and doing a twice weekly neti pot would help along with diet changes. Or he could have sinusitis he'd need antibiotics for. Clearing it out would make a world of difference. He could also work a bit more on his diction. It gets a little sloppy sometimes.

I think a good voice to compare him to that I'd prefer more would be Liam O'Brien's Grimoire Weiss. No one expects an indie vtuber to have that level of training but if you listen to the energy and the openness of the voice there's some similarities. Liam also dips more into his chest and stomach, and back of his throat and sounds older and manlier because of it, while this guy seems to pitch more from the top of his mouth and back of his throat. It makes him sound a lot younger, but that also works because it makes him sound a lot friendlier. The pitching from different parts of your body probably sounds fucking insane, it's hard to describe. It's something to experiment with though if you ever do want to get into creating new voices or making your own sound more marketable.

But like I said, I work with vocal stuff so I voice filter to an unfair degree. You don't really need to worry about it unless you're applying to niji or holo or whatever. Vocal training would probably help then a shit ton if you wanna go huge as they tend to voice filter to an autistic degree as well.

I'm a guy and I'd kill for a well-paying corporate vtuber job. I'd get to make money streaming games, hang out with a circle of friends who also stream, and have a lot of fun, all without having to show my real face. If it makes enough money to live off of, who wouldn't want that kind of job? When I see vtubers in Nijisanji, male and female, I'm always thinking "damn I wish I was in that position". I wonder why other guys don't get that feeling. Is it just because they assume they can never be vtubers so they block out any potential desires?

It's the usual streamer issue. Everyone wants to be a streamer playing video games for a living. But then you notice it's usually more than that, there's an effort and dedication there that demands more of you personally than a 9-to-5. And at any moment such a career could implode. So there's hard work with no security (and if you're not a corpo no guarentee of success, but being a corpo mitigates that one).

For the most part I don't really believe there's such a thing as a voice that doesn't fit the model. Even after hearing a voice for a second, I permanently attribute the model to it. There's only the matter of the voice not being what you expect to begin with, and for that I'd refer to Ange from Nijisanji. Personally the only exception to that is buff dudes with high pitched voices, a perfect example being Gilzaren III, also from Nijisanji. That will never sound right to me.

Energy isn't the same as screaming all the time, you can be whispering or acting anxious but have great energy. It's more about how you see someone acting on stage or tv or film. They don't talk or act like that normally, even if they seem natural they're exerting more energy and paying more attention. Stage presence is something you can probably look up to get a better idea of it. It benefits one on one entertainers a shit ton.

Ultimately the language here is relevant.
"I am playing" implies that you are putting on a show FOR the viewers, the viewer simply gets to watch you play. This is fine, but it creates a linguistic distance between you and what you are playing.
"we are playing" implies that you and the viewers are experiencing the game together, it's more intimate and exploratory.

For instance, it would be "I am playing Apex", but "we are playing [horror meme game of the week]".
