She went from plain-but-passable to deformed mutant in appearance. Otherwise though I'd say clearly it's not that Pika herself got worse apart from the design, it's that VOMS itself was rocked hard by Monoe leaving since that's a third of them right there, and the new outfits were supposed to be some bit of attempt of silver lining but Pika's is "lol" and TMSK's is "LOLLLLL" so somehow made things even more depressing feeling.

On the bright side VOMS is recruiting so maybe they'll finally get over that hump of feeling like they're in decline (even though they're doing alright stats wise). It's more like they're just treading water instead of really growing in popularity - I'd also say the advent of so many new EN tubers has diluted out what made Pikamee for a time, a really hot item. There was a window where the West was becoming interested in chuubas but there were few decent English speaking ones that weren't cringe 2views on twitch and this was when Pika and Hanna Macchia got a spike of interest. When HoloEN came about Pika seemed to be the only remotely similar/good-enough type in clout to collab with them but now there's more of a range of options.

Gonna be honest. I throw on some Botan or Hana for some casual viewing depending on what time of day it is. But I'm an adult man with refined taste. My default preference will always be for competent women who aren't tryharding.

Pika's target demo seems more like women and children who watch chubas for cute and funny. It was fine during the novelty year from summer 2020 to summer 2021. But now that the novelty's work off, she's just another generic chuba doing generic chuba things. That'll always devolve into people flocking to whoever best resonates with their personality type.

Chubas are like Android phones. Cheap and plentiful.
