So NijiQuiz was a total flop, looks like the enthusiasm for the new gen is already dead. Its also proof that all the tourists on Kuzuha's stream were just there for the e-celeb amd have no interest in immersing themselves in the greater Niji environment.

I've said it before but this is the problem with going for a more mainstream/casual fanbase. They are very touristy and they are going to move on quick and we can see that happening with Niji. Hololive on the other hand has cultivated a much more dedicated, loyal, and hardcore fanbase that is very unlikely to mobe onto something else.

I would say that's she is stable atm, not really reclining. Her real lows were in the low 10's with debuff games at debuff times. But her highs for gaming streams can reach 30-40 k depending on game and time(as in minecraft mostly).

Most of the holos bring in enough from memberships alone to treat it like a job, which people often overlook for some reason.
I estimated a while back that Suisei is making around $75k/year from memberships alone. This is after YouTube and Cover's cuts, and is a conservative estimate based on around half of her T1 members being in worthless meme currencies like ARS. In reality it's probably higher.

Depends on the company. Cover has one, as part of their minimum requirements for holos. It's not a lot but it helps give their tubers a basic income while they established the brand, and holos that haven't established their streaming/superchat fanbases or don't game stream much more than the minimum eg the holostars, ID, mel, azki.

The reason why is that we don't have HARD NUMBERS, only best guesstimates though even at a minimum the amount that some members make a stupid amount from memberships.
Like, at a minimum we know Gura has AT LEAST 14k members (this is from votes on a community poll).
Assume these are all $5 dollar memberships, that a third of them are fucking ars and can be ignored. That's 15k a month after cuts, or $180k a year. Off of memberships alone. This doesn't account for ad revenue, sponsorships, merch etc.

It's always been a "job" (IIRC subaru talked about how she applied for Hololive to make extra money while working other jobs) but certain holos the time investment beyond the minimums (or the area they were focusing on) weren't worth streaming full time.
An example would be Azki, her & cover's focus has been on music not vtubing games. Compare that to Irys who just started as a "vsinger" but she's already played about a dozen games and might have more gaming videos by the end of this month than Azki has made in total.

Holo's get decent superchat each stream, It's not like Niji where they just go all in on one event, These generic streams totalled to about 13 grand, And she also got 13 grand off the Gen 3 concert she did in that single stream.

I honestly don't think Irys is a real dud. Yes compared to her sub numbers, but those came out of extreme hype for something new EN being released.
Her songs are ok, should have had EN focus but oh well. Her streams for what they are worth are ok.

The main problem is that her inflated sub counts in such a short time makes her stand out even more when views/viewer attention doesn't line up. It's even more extreme then Gura.

And it doesn't help that her schedule and stream content feel a bit all over the place. It's hard to pinpoint which audience she's actually going for.

That puts her main audience as Primarily west coast/SEA region.

AZKi is a bad example for many reasons. She was a joint project between Cover and upd8, and was contracted to put out albums and do live shows, not to stream. Anyone who's been around for a while also knows what a shitshow upd8 were. Since she moved to being solely under Cover in 2021 you can clearly see them trying to integrate her more into Hololive.

Suisei passed the audition, but Hololive wants to use their own characters while Suisei insisted on keeping Suisei.
She tried to reach out again, and was passed to INNK instead of Hololive, which were modeled for AZKi only.
It can't be helped that she was not given enough project, but at least she's in a better position now, and she has a strong storyline.
Suisei is the only Hololive talent that owns her character.
