I’ve lost 2 jobs in the last 6 months because the government decided to upend the bus system and now it runs like shit. Shift starts at 9am, so I leave my house anywhere between 6:55am-7:05am. I watched 28 Days Later for the first time yesterday. I thought it was ok. Some parts were a little slow but not terribly so. I didn’t really like how the message was “humans are worse than monsters” because I feel like that’s really overdone, but it gets a slight pass since it’s older. I also didn’t really like the ending, I feel like the movie was trying too hard to show how the mc has become more of a killer - but it came off too unrealistic. I really enjoyed the beginning, how alone and helpless it makes you feel, and how the first zombie is encountered by the mc. The makeup was really good too. Zombies looked very scary. I’m excited to watch 28 Weeks Later next.

That’s how I feel about the next Aliens movie too. I really want to see an Aliens movie where they make it to Earth. There’s like a whole 10 minutes in the last AVP movie where it shows the Xenomorphs laying siege to a suburb, but I want the whole movie to be that. Also in different time periods too. Like a cowboy Aliens movie, and a medieval Aliens movie, and an Italian Renaissance Aliens movie, and a WW2 Aliens movie. But Hollywood doesn’t have a creative bone left in its body unfortunately.

You could just check sales instead of talking out your ass. Despite the first 2-3 years being awful with them shipping out consoles they are actually keeping pace with the ps4 without the drop in price or release of a ps5 slim.
Square enix on the other hand is just throwing shit at the wall hoping something sticks. Forspoken, Avengers, Guardians, all multiplatform all flops. Why are people forgetting that they’ve never truly been console exclusive. Most of their games are multiplatform, and almost every final fantasy was multiplatform. Square enix has some of the most recognizable franchises but they were never a sales juggernaut which they seem to have forgotten. FF16 is on track to be one of there 50 best selling games of all time. The last game to enter that list was Remake 4 years ago totaling 8.8 million right now. Remake is also the best selling FF game since 15 which sold 10 million across 3 different rereleases.
To put in perspective God of War ragnarok sold 15 million units which is better then every game they’ve ever released except FF14.
This is the fucking Palword shit all over again the game that has pokemon shaking in it’s boots because it’s multi platform. Currently has 14k players on steam.
Studios, publishers, and “gamers” are losing their mind over normal numbers. 5 years ago these would be great numbers. Let’s put this into perspective the switch is currently the fastest selling console ever and on track to be the best selling console ever and they consider 4 million for FE three houses an absolute win.

Alright anon let’s say they do that. What do the studios get out of this? Their biggest games have a 5-7 year release schedule, and smaller games take 2-3 years. This is the same length as other modern “AAA” titles but what other studios consider a flop they take as a success. Games would take longer to release and would need to sell more to warrant sequels. Best example ff16 sold 3 million in a few months flop, calls into question a sequel. Octopath traveler 2 million more then deserving of a sequel. You’d wipe half their libraries overnight
