I'm no sociologist or anything but I think it's all about how humans work. Humans follow crowds.
It's easy to get pulled into the hype and excitement of Hololive because there are so many enthusiastic fans everywhere, so many cool things happening, so many big viewer numbers (everybody notices this even if they pretend they don't). So human monkey brain is like "wow, this is popular, it must be good" and is willing to check it out (and some of those tourists convert into real fans, a beneficial cycle). The root of this cycle is the original fans who found the thing because it was legitimately good, and converted fans who stay because it's legitimately good once the initial trend-following instinct wears off, which is why manufacturing this sort of hype is difficult. your product still has to be good.

But that doesn't work for Holostars because they come off as somewhat wretched, unpopular, rejected, unconfident, etc. So you can't just be a confident open fan when shilling because you don't have the social proof to back it up. Gotta go for more subtle and manipulative tactics

2) Fauna and Mumei finishes as #2 and #3 for the median followed by Bijou, with the three of them (in different positions) completing the top 4 in both tables
3) Fuwamoco, Dokibird, Nerissa, Ina, Kronii, Kobo and Mori complete the top 10 in both tables, in different orders
4) The "Kiara Line" held strong in both tables with no Niji girl (and no one but Dokibird) beating her in either table, and with Bae in both tables and Shiori in the average trailing her on the EN side
5) A sort of "Pippa-Kaela" secondary line formed keeping anyone but the above mentioned from crossing their marks

A more modest bounce up, to the 6.5k line

3) Hololive DEV_IS
They continue their precipitous fall towards the 4k line.

4) VSPO
After a dash towards the 5k line, they are back below the 4k line

5) Nijisanji (the japanese branch)
Aided by recent eventful streams, they broke their fall and are back over the 3k line

6) HoloID
After dipping below the 2k line they're back at the 2k region where they live most of the year

7) NijiEN
it can't really be seen because of the Hololive stretched Y axis but they managed to squeeze a new recline and now are below the 900 line

8) StarsEN
Like NIjiEN, they're pushing the envelope in the downwards direction and now are below the 800 line

The 3D stuff is quite taxing on a branch not located in Japan, no doubt about it. They need to keep the gens coming because as HoloENs mature they end up having to do 2-3 Japan arcs a year and most just don't really stream much during them.
