Hyperbaric chambers have legit medical uses, just nothing FDA approved for injuries/post surgery. I suppose the logic is that since injury treatment knowledge has been updated that icing injured areas is actually not the best and getting blood and oxygen flowing to the area is better, then getting even MORE oxygen to the area with that chamber is even better.

Everything I've read about the plain meaning suggests that it's a formality thing more than anything else.
