As someone with similar bodily issues as Mococo, drinking makes me feel sick easily so it better be really fun to be worth it, and you need to eat correctly before and after to have a good run (I drink like 1 time a year in special occasion). Drinking also removes inhibitions which is good for me, but fuwamoco have very tightly controlled personalities so losing the inhibitions could easily lead to saying things they might regret, so not worth the risk. And like they said, video games already "feel almost like real life" to them so drinking isn't needed, it would probably make things too overwhelming, and would feel the poisoning effect too strongly.
