ANYCOLOR:
Anycolor is fighting for their life today, as it tried to stay in the positive before falling to 2177¥ (-15) as they head into Lunch. It seems there has been staunch resistance to the stock trying to fall any lower. Expect a series of hills and valleys today, we're in for a unpredictable day if the 1st half is any indication.

COVER CORP:
Cover once again is following the same trajectory as Anycolor, as it heads into lunch at 1843¥ (-9). Nothing else to really say unfortunately, as it's the same story we've seen happen multiple times already.

OTHER:
The Nikkei has started off extremely strong today at a resounding 2%. A potential factor why we haven't seen a full fall yet. However this is a rather irregular movement for the index, so be wary on what happens after lunch.

Despite a hard fought struggle to try and prevent losses, Anycolor still closes out today on a minor loss at 2182 (-10), a new l- you get the point. They're now are at a 108 loss for the week so far and are 72 away from matching their record low. As I predicted, we're gonna see some resistance as we get further to the low, so don't expect any dramatic changes outside of a potential surge on the positive side for them.

COVER CORP:
Unlike Anycolor however, Cover had little to no resistance as they smoothly fell down to 1824 (-28). Currently they face a 48 yen loss so far this week, and are now at a new low as well. For reference, the last time they were around this range was in May of 2023, when they went public just barely a month ago at that time. We're also less than a month away from the 4Q financial reports for Cover, so we're gonna be waiting for a bit longer until we some potential recovery.

OTHER:

Cover Corp: 2.1 Million

The Nikkei Index stayed steady on it's amazing growth today, closing out at a 2.4% increase. Unfortunately this wasn't enough to give Anycolor and Cover Corp positive growth, but it might've potentially softened the fall.

The gap between the two companies has grown to 358.
Nothing noteworthy or informative from what I see on the boards today. Buy/Sell ratios adjust a bit, but that's all there is. Though someone was posting pictures of Dumbledore for some reason so hey have fun with that tidbit.

We've had this argument before, and the short answer is that Japan isn't the center of the vtubing universe anymore. Things have moved to the global stage, and the influence is in the global stage. Look no further for proof of this than Nijisanji, who have decent domestic success although recent failures might prove that wrong, but are dying as a company because they can't keep an international branch above the water, and gambled 49% of their company on it.
Japan has cultural influence, but is no longer the primary commanding influence of the vtubing world. Everyone, even the Japanese, are looking outside of Japan now to see what's next.

Is it, though? I mean this as an actual question. I'm always down for being proven wrong, but you have to actually bring an argument of substance to the table, and not just call people retarded.
VSPO is JP-exclusive the EN branch doesn't matter until talents actually fucking debut, has no substantial foreign audience, isn't really trying to get one, and is mainly focused on eSports activities. Compare to VShojo, who have multiple talents that cater primarily to the English-only audience (which already drastically outnumbers the JP audience), but have a variety of different content offerings, even in singular talents. They also have multiple talents that can interact with JPs and IDs.
VSPO can't claim the influence or reach that VShojo has, even if it's more prominent in Japan than VShojo is. And I'm not even gonna pretend that VShojo is big in Japan. I know it's not. And I'm not gonna call VSPO small either, because that's not true. So we have two large-sized, middle-tier corpos, one of which is pretty much just in JP markets, and the other is in most major global markets, while also having a minor presence in the JP market. Logically, that would mean that VShojo is more important on a global scale of influence, right?

Well, that's the difference between brands/branches and corpos. Is VSPO bigger than Vshojo (brand) will ever be? Probably not. Is Brave (looking at VTubers) bigger that VShojo (corpo) will ever be? I can't say "will ever be," but V4Mirai is more relevant in the West than VShojo is in Japan. With the growth of more international opportunities Brave will overtake VShojo, in large part because of VShojo's talent development model.

I think you misunderstand "center of the universe" argumentation. Japanese corpos, like Cover, ANYCOLOR, and Brave, are looking to overseas expansion as the next step in business. However, that is only because (1) there is a strong base in business terms in Japan and (2) the Japanese market it satiated. ANYCOLOR can only be a dominant company because they (1) had a strong economic base in Japan which allowed them to (2) expend resources to expand into foreign markets, particularly with NIJISANJI ID and NIJISANJI EN. Part of the company's failure is owing to the failure of the Japanese-speaking talents (the old NIJISANJI branch) to expand, or at least maintain, a base. The reason the company's stock is tanking so much, though, is that, putting those minor (although not really so minor) losses to NIJISANJI aside, the shuttering of NIJISANJI KR and NIJISANJI ID and the abject failure of NIJISANJI EN have shown investors that ANYCOLOR has no future overseas. Because Japanese investors know that the future in the VTuber industry for Japanese companies is western expansion, they look on ANYCOLOR's five attempts and three failures at opening branches outside of Japan with disdain.
Japan could be considered the center of the VTuber world in either an economic or a cultural sense. In both senses it is clear that it is still true, although the cultural sense is waning somewhat. The cultural importance of Japan in relation to VTubers as expressed in the West is most clearly evident in early conceptions of propriety, naming sense, and expected content output. In all of these respects, while some allowance was given to western tastes, the dominant force was with the culture of Japanese VTubers. This is still evident in the earliest members, who still follow this outline, particularly because they are the more popular (owing to having been performing longer).

LD50 of Diphenhydramine HCl is 10mg/kg, and pills are something like 20mg or 25mg or so. So LD50 for a 60kg chuuba is 24 pills. That's a lot to take as pills, but not a lot as gummies, which is why you won't ever see Diphenhydramine gummies. In the US at least, gummies for OTC pharmaceuticals require special approval, and even if they didn't any sane manufacturer would avoid it because they can see in advance that some kid (or a vtuber) would die and they would get sued into oblivion. Japan is less litigious but they have other societal forces that would provide the same avoidance.

Since it's a special day for me and Q4 only has one day left, this post will cover Anycolor stock for today and the week overall and then we'll go into it's Q4 performance. You'll see Cover and any other noteworthy news in the next post (that may be delayed depending on how tired I am.)

ANYCOLOR STOCK REVIEW FOR THE DAY/WEEK
Anycolor manages to hold on to a profit today, closing out at 2185¥ (16), a slight loss after lunch but you take any victory you get. Getting into the details of the day, their beginning was quite turbulent to put it in kind words, as within the first hour they were within striking distance of 2110¥, followed by a immediate rise that stabilized for the most part for the rest of the day. Odd behavior but overall this doesn't give us any indication on what will happen next week. And speaking of next week....
Overall this week Anycolor gave witness to a 101¥ loss as they close out the last full week of April. This is also the 5th of week of consecutive overall losses for them, further solidifying their downhill trend. I actually expect this streak to end next week, factoring in we're getting close to the "event horizon" of the stock, and 4 days of trading rather than 5, however that could mean less time to recover as well.
Looking at the weekend coming up, we could see them gain some momentum depending on the reception of the Virtual Rhapsody and Enna 3D debut for the EN Side (I lack info on JP, sorry.) Though if we consider the equivalents of such events (ARlive, Millie 3D.) It's more like that this may have negligible impact, if any at all.

ANYCOLOR Q4 OVERALL REVIEW (someone save me)
Want just a quick review? They've lost over 40% of their stock value from February 1st to now.
We'll dive mostly into EN, as my info on JP is limited, but i'll try and include them when I can.

FEBRUARY

The first thing notable event was Kyo's graduation on the 1st. While he wasn't a headliner talent compared to past/future departures, Kyo is one of their bigger talents after Lux/Noc if forced to say anything notable. If you want you can say Kyo was worth 5 since that was the amount they lost the day after his graduation announcement.
Then there's the Selen situation on the 5th.
The topic has been talked about extensively already, so let's just cut straight to the financial ramifications by making a list of what can be attributed to this "negligible" impact.
>Losing your most popular female talent and her fan base that had potential connections to other talents.
>Losing collaborations with companies/organizers like HYTE and Offkai
>Multiple talents cutting back on streams/content to avoid fallout, missing notable days like Valentines.
>A complete free fall in Youtube metrics across the board.
>Any branch events delayed like the MK tournament.
>Having lost between 400-700¥ over the days before the Q3 Financial reports dropped.
>A reputation so tarnished that Riku Tazumi had to apologize to investors (while his message would be undermined before it even got out.)
You get the point, NijiEN basically died and the ramifications are still being felt even today. The only other notable events business wise was a announcement of a Google collab and the Virtual Rhapsody concert.

MARCH
March starts off rather positive for the most part. The most notable things being Petra and Rosemi's 3D announcement, the new JP wave 3SKM, and Moira of the JP 1st gen going on a year break. Also during this, Anycolor would announce the stock to now be a loan margin trading issue, essentially giving it more liquidity to bump the stock up before the Q3 reports which we'll discuss now.
we now also have to talk about the Q3 financial reports. In short, EN was stagnant and declining, JP is losing steam as the market saturates. And most notably they were behind their financial forecasts, and didn't adjust them for Q4 despite this, meaning they'd need to make 10 billion yen minimum, which is not only unrealistic but also would have to be the highest grossing quarter.
This prompts a massive stock free that they hit the limit of how much they can fall. Becoming the 1st company to do so since the pandemic. Over the rest of the month the stock would recover slightly, however the last week of March would begin a trend of overall losses every week. The severe losses being so terrible, that a margin selling ban/limit had to be put in place, that has yet to be removed.
To close out the month, Anycolor would announce events for NijiEN's anniversary and events like the delayed MK Tournament and the revival of the canceled ARLive. As well as Obsydia getting their 3D models.
Overall, this month saw them lose 20% of their stock's value from Feb 29th to March 29th.

This is Part 2 of my schizo manifesto about Anycolor's performance this quarter. Lord forgive me for any potential typos/grammar mistakes I am too tired for this shit to correct it.

APRIL
April for the most part was a quiet yet desperate month for Anycolor. The stock would overall be trending gradually downward instead of a sharp decline. Considering overall trends, we're unlikely gonna see them rise back up to even the mid 2000s before the Q4 reports in June.
As this is the final month, Anycolor now had to pull out all the breaks outside of planned events. They were consistently shilling event merchandise, and for last few weeks were shilling reruns/restocks of old limited merchandise to meet their forecasts. The success of this is uncertain however, but Q4 should give us some insights on how effective it was.
Moving onto actual events, the main headliner was NijiEN's early anniversary, done so likely in desperation following the Q3 reports. The ARLive so far seems to have had a mixed reception, with criticism due to cuts on content compared to what was promised last year, copyright, model/stage quality, etc. This was also when they announced the 3rd event/project for NijiEN's Anniversary's NijiENCounter, which is a project where every month 2 talents would collaborate with music creators to make a song.
Following this was the Chronoir Concert featuring Kuzuha and Kanae, which seems to have been successful. The same weekend was also the beginning of Ethyria's 3D debuts. However so far Millie's has set a record for lowest CCV, that was previously set by Rosemi last month. Virtual Rhapsody and Enna's 3D debut will be happening tomorrow, being the swan song of this quarter. Whether or not these will have a impact will remain to be seen, however considering previous events it's not likely to move the needle that much.

OVERALL:
They've lost. Lost revenue, lost dignity, lost everything, and Anycolor now has decide on NijiEN's fate. But to keep it simple, there are no winning moves left for them to play. All that can be done now is to potentially cut their losses and fold EN into JP and diverge all investments to one single branch, and accept that they're never gonna recover.
