Her reply was reasonable though and it's to help set a tone in chat. Chat's gonna naturally be dictated by the group that sticks around. Sometimes you'll get some retard who come sin as a gray name and tries to sway the chat away from the current culture, but it'll usually get overridden by people not communicating in the same way and the person leaving or people calling out those posts. Setting a standard from what she expect chat to be makes it an independent culture from the kind of shit you see on twitch, where the twitch general chat culture invades all over the place.

Kiara is in the terrible position of being one of the least watched chuubas which makes her afraid of people leaving KFP and thus that forces her to stream longer.
There's no doubt in my mind that if she had more support, she would've had lighter schedules and she would've probably used some of that free time for practice. She actually pushes herself even more if she has a lot of viewers on her channel. Evidence being the UNO collab, the ina waiting stream and the outfit reveal. Kiara actually talks more, when she is nervous. The UNO collab had 50k viewers and she felt the pressure to entertain and get conversations going. In the ina waiting stream she was so nervous because of the 30k people watching, she basicly talked with lightning speed and no breaks. She talked so much that her mouth hurt afterwards, thats how much she pushed her. After the outfit reveal she said in a stream that she was super nervous and the only saving grace for her was to ignore how many people are watching and follow the plan she made beforehand.

She's sort of handicapped by having to augment her natural voice to chikin so it's impossible to tell how much she can actually get better if she didn't have to put on the voice. Kiara shot herself in the foot delivering absolute shit tier karaokes in the debut months, which turned off any potential non-KFP viewers. So now her karaoke only gets like 9k viewers, and even if she magically improved overnight she'd still not gain many viewers because they won't give her a second/third chance.

To compare, Ina absolutely nailed Unravel in her first ever karaoke, it got 1.2m views and is used in tons of clips. That created a lasting popularity for her karaoke. She fucks up plenty of times and her English singing is downright Ame-tier but it doesn't matter. People aren't gonna leave anymore.

tl;dr you can't change perceptions anymore this late, so practicing singing won't have any tangible benefits. She should have taken it seriously from the very beginning

I was actually mostly referring to her covers/originals rather than her karaoke but I can see your point. It's also interesting because your point about it being a bit too late is something I was about to bring up but in relation to the originals/covers. With the voice she went with and her choice in genre (I know they're her preferred ones) it was kind of doomed from the start that most of the people who would actively listen/stream would be her loyal fanbase. Mori was probably already another contributing factor what with her coming out of the gate like that, so she was already going to be overshadowed and her window to catch up was narrow.
Either way it is what it is and her music streams just have to be carried by mostly us, as it's always been. I just hope she doesn't compare her numbers with mori/gura (though knowing her she very likely does) and upset herself further in the process. She's simply not competing on the same field and doesn't garner the same respect(?) across the holo community as people like suisei or mori would.
