American colleges are worthless expensive daycares. Everything has been babied down. My engineering professor lamented it every other class. I was top of my class and I just did basic studying: reading the chapter a few times before, came with questions, and reviewed right when class ended. Everyone else was working some goybucks job or talking about league of faggends or just never asking questions. And that was 7 years ago. Things have gone downhill so fast since then it's probably way worse now.

if you're still a student I can see how it feels like a big deal when it's a subject you are forced to contend with literally every day... however when you're out of school, you start to forget. within several years out, you might have damn well forgotten how to actually-do a lot of stuff and would need to sit down and review the steps to do what would be easy homework today.
