They're free to release as many as they like, but this is a business decision that screams of desperation. The problem people are rightfully highlighting is that if they splooge their 3D reveals everywhere now, it means they're desperate to keep their fiscal report numbers afloat, and that implies that long-term, they're in serious trouble. They have a finite amount of 3D reveals at their disposal and no guarantee they'll even generate interest.

Simply put and a simple analogy: Imagine playing Dark Souls, and you need to fight 5 bosses one after the other, but the first boss is so hard for you that you end up using 12 of your 14 Estus flasks just to beat it. That is PRECISELY what Nijisanji is doing, so people are highlighting how the next boss (Q1 of their next fiscal year) is going to absolutely destroy them, because they've already wasted all their resources just barely surviving this first boss. (closing out their fiscal year with a decent-ish report)

Its not that them doing better is bad. Its that you cannot help but feel frustrated at how the branch may have been in a better place if it happened much earlier. Look at the gap between Lazulight's 3D debut to Obsydia's 3D, and then Obsydia's to Ethyria's 3D. The branch really was grossly mismanaged to have sat on this data for who knows how long.

The people who caused the shitstorm are still in charge and working. This is just them fire selling and hoping people will return back.
Problem is, they are awfully incompetent. First you announce what you fixed, then you fire sale. All that we saw for a "fix" is them assuming barely 18 people as managers and workers for minimum wage.
They deserve all the pain and more. If they are doing better, just announce it, it's not hard, unless you are not.
