Funnily enough, neither Fubuki nor Miko got me into vtubers even when I had watched clips of them. I've never watched any of their streams so far. Though it is undeniable that clippers are the reason why I got to know vtubers. I think it was either Matsuri or Marine that got me into this.

If we look solely on subcount and exposures sure. But like the anon above me had mentioned, JP is more established as they constantly get sponsorships, having access to make 3D concerts, etc. These come with the fact that vtubing is symbiotic in a Japanese cityfolk's lifestyle as they get shown on ads as much as their favourite nissin curry. It's how Hatsune Miku still remains relevant in Japan after all these years even though her hype died out a while ago. So the Vtubing scene will still remain even after the fad outside Japan slowly dies out.

Gura has way higher numbers than any of the other ENs. They get like 1-300k and don't hit 300-500k as often as like Marine or Pekora. I'd say the JPs are inclining more. Nah, I’m here because a friend tried to get me into en vtubers, I didn’t dig them, but then I saw a stream late at night of Korone playing Yoshi’s Crafted World and found myself really enjoying it. Good on my friend for trying to get me into it though even if the en vtubers weren’t my thing.

Specifically Miko, yeah. The first Vtuber clip I saw was of course Miko in GTAV. Found Korone in early 2020 and mostly just watched clips of her, Pekora and Marine until recently. Also, does EOP mean "english only, pendejo"? Because that's how I've been reading it.

Here, as in coming to 4chan to talk about vtubers, yes. But I've watched vtubers since Kizuna Ai and followed Kayuna Luna, Hime Hina and Tsukino Mito when they were starting out. When virtual-san wa mitteiru came out I knew everyone in the main cast and was subbed to them.
