I'm tired of seeing this complaint. Do the people who say this not know what the whole point of a vtuber is? They're playing a character, so of course they're gonna sound "fake." JP vtubers sound even faker, but the same people calling EN vtubers fake never complain about that. You wanna know why? Because they don't speak Japanese enough to know what normal non-anime Japanese sounds like. If you watched a JP vtuber speaking normally, you'd probably think they were boring because they're not saying "nye" or other weird noises at the end of every sentence. Stop saying every vtuber you don't like is "fake." It's meaningless at best, and at worst you're just complimenting them for being able to do their job well.

I just find obviously faked voices like Fauna to be kind of skeevy and weird. It's like she's trying to sound younger by faking that high pitched generic egirl voice and I never really liked how it almost seems like she's condoning or even encouraging attraction to those kinds of fake voices meant to imitate very young anime girls.
