Looking for some advice. I see that corpo chuubas spend about a week posting to social media before their debut streams so what should an indie do? Two weeks? Three weeks? More? I want to schedule a bunch of posts throughout the day and reply to anyone who interacts with the posts but I'm not sure if a week is long enough to try and hype up my debut. I'll also be posting videos and shorts alongside this.

Debuting for a new indie is pointless. They do it in corpo to introduce themselves to the established audience that watches all the other talents. As an indie what you need is to start streaming asap and worry about either a “redebut” or a 2.0 for when there’s people to actually watch it.
Start tweeting as soon as you have art to set up a nice profile.
Twitter is for both networking and building an audience, so you should wanna have a profile amenable to both.

Corpos have preexisting audiences to advertise to that they can directly funnel into new debuts. Indies don't have that, so debuts do not matter. Post some tweets with a brief introduction and maybe some plans and goals to show what kind of vibe you'll have and go live as soon as possible.

I see plenty of indies who do debut streams so whether you think its pointless or not has no bearing on what I'm going to do. Starting streaming = making your debut and my very first stream will be me introducing myself, talking about my likes, doing some karaoke and playing some guitar. I guess my question wasn't really answered so I will keep thinking on it, I have months until the artist I'm working with will even start my commission anyways.

In an ideal world, you would talk to your vtuber friends and ask them to raid you for your debut, talk to all your friends and contacts to show up for your debut and then pay for ads and get debut trailers made for your debut a month before it happens as you post them on all the social medias you know including twitter.

However if you have never streamed and do not have any contacts then there is no point wasting money on your debuts other than corpo larping, just start streaming and debut in the future when you gained everything mentioned above.

if I'm going to be streaming every day at the same exact time then is there any need to make a weekly schedule? I feel like a weekly schedule could increase viewer turnout but at the same time I'm worried if I put a game on Wednesday and Wednesday comes around then I won't want to play that game and play something else but I'm stuck adhering to my schedule. another thing is what if I put Chrono Trigger on my schedule for Thursday and Friday but I end up finishing it early on Thursday, then Friday would have to be something else entirely and it would ruin the schedule.

Pick the comfiest game that you enjoy and just play that starting out, your first stream should be trying to get used to the whole streaming thing and talking about yourself so people can comeback to your future streams. Any farming sims would be a good start for sure.
