Vtuber VOD Time Capsule

I'm putting VTuber VODS onto external SSD's and sealing them in a time capsule to keep them safe for 100 years.

It's a special project that I'm working on and important to me that future generations remember my favorite VTubers.

The Vtuber VODS are:

-Jelly Hoshiumi
-Koseki Bijou
-Fallen Shadow

I will also add their merch into the time capsule too

Yet I have questions, would this work realistically? I'm worried about the SSD's failing, so should I use something else than external SSD's?

Any recommendations would be helpful

If you are serious, you should know that ssd lose their state if not powered. It might take years but it will happen. Use hdd instead

It was just suggestions bro calm down. Its just what I would do as a historian but if you want to preserve the cute and funny ones first thats ok too. Dont worry about it I am planning on stocking generation ships going into space with nothing but Hololive content so they base their entire culture and relgion on them. It will be even more fun when they reach out to other colonies at a latter date and find they have roughly the same (sans cultural drift depending on the timeline) belief systems thus confirming their HoloGoddesses are real

Cold storage for 100 years is a fool's errand, but if you really must, then LTO tape is your best bet.

You should include some hardware, even if somewhat cheap, that has a way of playing the stored content. For example, a few decades ago floppy disks were the norm, but now the average computer has no way of natively reading them.

Consider a way to power the device and remember to take out any batteries to avoid damage to the device over time.

Also, ignore these myopic anons who tell you this is a worthless endeavor. it kind of is though One day a young man will unearth your capsule, a glimpse into a time when things were simpler. Perhaps, even finding traces of the beginning of humanity's undoing.

Get a spindle of 100GB M-discs and leave an external drive with them. Or better yet, author a proper BD video disc on them so you can leave them with a portable BD player, so the only concern is plugging it into AC or providing 12v DC or whatever to it directly.

Another concern is providing a cable and any necessary adapters to connect the drive/player to a monitor.
