Hello, it's the liggerman who has been covering the /lig/ beat for you all with breaking news. This one is a massive story that's been unfolding the last month or so.

A merch company named Copium Merch that was ran by a person who acted as manager for Bao named Cha Latte has systematically ripped off several vtubers by signing them to do merch through their company (the aforementioned Copium Merch) and never delivered on any of the merch. So far the confirmed victims of this were Bao, Yuzu, and Amalee/Monarch. Two other talents who were involved with the company but have not made a public statement are girl_dm and Shotou.

In every case here, ramen company Vite Ramen has stepped in to take over the orders for the merch and actually produce and deliver the promised merch to the vtubers. Here are your relevant links:

That's just completely wrong. I know the numbers are big and scary and the Twitter people are loud and mean, but they are not the target demographic of VTubers and they are not representative of the wider consensus of the VTuber audience. Not just chuubas, but any online personality who doesn't learn that will eventually be torn down by people who won't even remember they exist a week from now no matter what they do

Whenever someone gets canceled on Twitter, they get canceled on Youtube. Twitch has slightly more resilience at best. Dealing with drama on Twitter is part of the job, and she did an exemplary job of it. Nevermind the fact that it was in reaction to a stream that she was effectively in.
