Honestly, from the point of view of someone that has a major in economics, this affect the whole vtuber industry, specially those that are in the stock market, Cover is also getting negative % on the stock market since December, this make the industry look volatile and just a fad that already passed.

If one look for more information, you can see that most vtubers have lost CCV and VODs views, since late 2022, and is only getting worse, there are obviously some exceptions, but most of them are japanese, the western side is doing like shit, some important small and medium size vtuber corpos are cashing out of this fad, and is just early 2024, this year will be really bad for the vtuber industry, specially the western/EN part.

Anycolor should drop under 3000 yen around the end of March, after they have their shareholder meeting that was postponed even before the whole NijiEN drama.

It wouldn't surprise me if they try to merge the EN branch to the main one like KR, IN and ID.

This whole drama, remember me of the Machinima drama, when regular youtubers realized that they were bigger than their multi-channel network and that they could get 5 times the money alone, I expect a lot of vtubers to go indie just like back then with regular youtubers, and most corpos to die.

The industry is fledgling, of course it's volatile.
Companies don't care about ccv and superchats. They make up less than 10% of gross revenue. They care about partnerships, sponsorships, and merchandise. Ie, they care how marketable the talents are, and how high their conversion rates and impression rates are.
The industry is not going anywhere, it's just normalizing (since interest rates are too high for corporate leverage and JP is in a technical recession).
Anycolor did a lot of questionable things, apart from mismanagement. They had a share repurchase campaign (18 million USD), which they did not couple with corporate leverage (because cheap loans are not a thing in this climate). This made the stock-buyback ineffective (more so than usual). They also did not effectively reduce the outstanding shares like they should, by making them available for reissuance.
Finally, the disbursement (dividend payout) doesn't happen for 5 more months. They will not even alleviate tax burden with this genius move.

Nothing crazy, itll just mean they have gained practically zero value. You could actually argue they lost value. Like others have mentioned, its a nice round number and were almost exactly 1 year down the road when the stock was 3k.
Its not good, next week is shareholder meeting, if it goes below 3k before that THEN somethign crazy might actually happen. They will have to change course, i dont expect rash decisions - but if things will get explosive, it WILL be after that meeting.
