Basically NijiEN reached its modern shitshow state due to severe systemic issues. Underpaid, understaffed and underaged management, individual retards who were able to force pozzed far-left politics into the entire branch without any checks and balances to stop them, absolute garbage recruitment practices with zero quality filter leading to the hiring of some absolutely vile, borderline-sociopathic personalities as livers. I followed Niji EN from the very beginning since I enjoyed Pomu's PL.
I play fucking Honkai Impact and Honkai Star Rail and therefore really hoped for Finana to thrive.
I was there for a fun time and not to get told by the streamer that she doesn't want me to be her audience, I was devastated by how they treated my oshi just because she was not as bitter and uninspired than themselves.
Niji EN livers have shown time and time again that they are awful people. To Pomu, to Selen, to Zaion, to viewers and in general.
I just hope that the last few good ones (Scarle and Doppio come to mind) get out of there and find success elsewhere. It works for Doki, for Sayu and it will work for Mint as well as soon as she finds a place that actually values her.

The guy in general has always appeared to to have anger/hatred problems, probably a better and more general term but it feels like if it wasn't white people it'd just be something else. If leaker anon is right, then they have hired some PR personnel as an emergency band-aid for their current issues. Talents have been told to keep quiet and return to normal streaming when it's possible. Said anon also hinted a possible restructuring of the EN backoffice, which in best case could at least stop these nonsensical emotionally driven actions that are just more shots into their already wounded feet. Worst case would be, it doesn't change anything and Niji EN continues to slowly deteriorate.

Well, it certainly is. I have dropped all of Niji recently in favor of other chuubas to keep myself sane. There's only very few that I would still somewhat trust, but looking at what people have been insinuating regarding Elira, who was considered a community favorite and a pure angel, nothing feels impossible anymore. In the end everything a chuuba puts out could be just an act for entertainment purposes, and it sucks when their mask slips and all you can see is their foul character.

What is sad is he didn't even make this choice, other parts of management did.
The IDs have mentioned the Riku was very emotionally invested in the creator of ID so much so he visited them before debut and even allow for staff to buy the first wave gaming laptops to help them stream.
One of the livers mentioned at some point after the merge that their staff didn't even know if Riku knew about some of the first wave graduating and were too afraid to ask/tell him.
We all like to blame Riku because hes the CEO and the one who makes the most money but hes not the only one with power in the company and hes beholden to those others with power and the investors.
I'm not saying to go easy on him because he still deserves to be called out for failing to do his job but do keep in mind hes just a figurehead most of the time and a young one at that.

It's obvious that the EN branch has been to fend for itself by the main company. This was kind of proven by the document posted at the attention of shareholders which emphasized on how unimportant NijiEN was compared to the JP branch.

I think its just over for NijiEN at this point. What happened this month was the cumulation of all the frustration and problems that had been steadily building up since mid-2022. The talents could've easily stepped back and reflected on some of the criticism, but instead most of the popular ones tripled down on their own stupidity to where no one wants to stick around at this point.
Even ignoring of the normalfag Youtubing sphere, NijiEN is now widely recognized as a bad company with a few good talents, and even that's up for debate because the animosity has been steadily building towards people like like Vox, Uki and Elira for a while now. There's no indication of any changes going on. It appears no one responsible is getting anything more than a wrist slap. There's no evidence that any kind of reorganization is going on, no announcement of new management, the job postings are a joke (sub-poverty wages for a multi-lingual talent manager who will probably have no real authority).

Riku's track record in this regard is also bad. Rather than reform the other branches which failed, he folded them into JP and essentially shut them down. Frankly, if this situation wasn't serious enough to make him act appropriately - talents bullying each other to suicide and chasing out the top stars, the news breaking into the normiesphere and painting Niji in a very bad light, and the permanent destruction of Niji's reputation - then nothing will.

Oh the pay is low, but aren't at least some of those positions for soon-to-be graduates? Also, nip office culture dictates you most often start at the bottom, and with each year, your salary increases, so a person working 15 years at one company could expect good salary (by JP standards), but if he/she were to leave, in a lot of places, they'd have to start from scratch, and even call snotty kids at their new places senpai despite them only having a couple of years of experience. It seems to be changing in some sectors, but their whole work culture is extremely fucked and inefficient. 8$/hour is low for Tokyo, but I've seen some nips claim they can survive with 1k a month. It created a cultural cascade effect where it forced everyone to break the PL secrets. The amount of times I've heard of friend's social media algorithms (Twitter & YouTube) purposefully reveal vtuber's PLs has been a lot. By terminating Selen like this, you've basically allowed the floodgates for everyone to check vtuber's PLs more openly without scrutiny and hesitation. So, the bad actors in NijiEN will be identified so much faster now. At least the good actors in NijiEN will be revealed once they leave.

There's so many things working against them in terms of actual change. They can't do a stock buyback because they just did one and from what I've read they risk getting delisted, so firing more talent especially from their one avenue for expansion (no matter how shitty they are) affects investor confidence negatively.
