Unironically my favorite indie just took a break (after a pretty bad college semester and mental health scare) and it really brought the people out and the community post support during that break gigaboosted her in the algorithm.

Breaks can be great when used properly, but lots of niji management just gives out the exact same 3+ streams a week contract, even if you've been there 4 years. They just need to be able to get fans talking and not be a status quo.

Asking how they plan to "compete with someone like Gura" might not be the most effective question for several reasons:

1. **Relevance**: Gawr Gura is a specific vtuber with a unique brand, style, and audience. Unless the job directly involves competing with vtubers of her caliber and genre, the question might not be relevant to the candidate's potential job responsibilities.

2. **Gender**: If the implication of the question is that there is a gender-based competition dynamic at play, it could be considered inappropriate or biased. Talent and market competition typically transcend gender, especially in the context of a job interview.

3. **Practicality**: Competing with a global superstar isn't a standard or practical job expectation for most singers. It sets an unrealistic benchmark and might come across as either flippant or naive about the vtuber industry.

4. **Focus**: The question diverts attention from the candidate's own artistry and goals. It's more constructive to ask about their artistic influences, career objectives, and how they see themselves contributing to your project or organization.

If you want to understand a candidate's ambition or how they position themselves in the industry, consider asking questions like:

- "Who do you consider to be your vtuber influences, and why?"
- "How do you differentiate yourself as an vtuber in today's steaming industry?"
- "Can you share an experience where you successfully attracted an audience with your stream?"
- "What strategies do you use to grow your fan base and engage with your watchers?"

These questions are more likely to provide you with useful information about the candidate's suitability for the job.

Tl;Dr even chatgpt think the question is retarded

When will people realize that conditions under which Myth debuted can never be replicated?
>First notable EN group debut
>First Hololive EN group
>Coof buff was still a thing in various countries
>There was no Niji EN
>Only a handful of English speaking indies like nyanners, ironmouse or veibae existed
>On top of that, Gura herself not only was given one of the most iconic/unique vtuber designs to work with, but also had loli monopoly in one of the biggest vtuber companies
At that time, even someone like Kiara could get 15k playing MC, and Gura with Mori were untouchable. They all pretty much lost 10-50% of their viewers, but even know, most EN chuubas can't hold a candle next to them. Heck, Mori basically threw herself of the cliff, but up to this day, no other EN chuuba can come close to her song plays on YT and Spotify. Ina had to turn on her "just existing" mode for Fauna to reach her numbers. Council (Promise) and Advent tried beating Myth, but ultimately couldn't replicate their success and never came close to peak Myth. How could some random schmuck even dream of competing at this point?
Nijisanji recruitment team should instead ask questions how their hirees would compete with their current talents because reaching 2-3k CCV at least seems achievable for some of them.

Gura is a mutli-talented high charisma person,
Gura's designer had a model ready for the debut, but once she met and learned more about Gura she tailored the model more suit Gura.

Luck always plays a part in anything we do. Saying that everything is luck though is pure ignorance and unintelligence on display. She was the right person. If anyone was lucky, it was Cover.

Give Gura a little bit of respect.

QRD? How could they meet if none of Myth girls could travel to Japan freely at that time? I only know Gura requested teeth because her model initially had none. I remember Nacho talking about Gura AFTER their collab how she thought Gura knew Japanese when they were planning the collab, but later had to resort to looking up English words/phrases after she found out sharky can't speak any niponese. If they had met before, she would have known all of that.

The correct answer isn't "I'm not" and then you explain what's going to set your APART from everyone else, so you have a niche you can fill and appeal to SUSTAINABLY. Gura went viral as the first exposure a lot of people had, her numbers aren't something you can anticipate recreating.

She isn't even top 5 in JP, she only is so big in EN because they have chuubas like Mori, Bae and Kiara(the apex of normalfag)and bitchs like Kronii, Ame and Nerissa, the ones who are good barely stream or are dead most of year
Only Bijou and FuwaMoco fill all of those "simple" requirements and both are the most watched after Gura, it's that simple(at least on hololive)

It's not a good question. And worse it exposes what the company are looking for in applicants. People who believe they are capable of competing with Gura. Well no one can compete with Gura. Even their most popular hire, Vox can't even begin to compete with Gura on any level.
Personally I think the best way to answer this question is to say there is no need to compete with her. The key is to stream frequently and build a strong base of viewers who will support me and grow at a good pace providing content that is tailored to them rather than trying to outdo a vtuber who sits at almost 4 and a half million subs.

okay here is the plan:

If this was any other company, I'd consider this as a good interview question since it test an applicant's ability to think on their feet and how they deal with curveballs. But with how Nijisanji has been dealing with this entire shitshow, I can't help but think that they're actually asking this question unironically...

>> No.69449588

>>69448630
Stupid questions are commonplace in job interviews. They don't really care about you answering "right" or "wrong", they just want to gauge how clever you are with answering unsettling or unexpected questions.
I'd do what I always did with those questions (or verbal tests during school, actually), I'd make up some BS on the fly and just try to convey the idea I love the idea of working with them, I'm ambitious but polite and responsible.
In this specific case, probably something like "With hard work. I'm not Gawr Gura, but I have my own strenghts, therefore, instead of trying to imitate her or anybody else, I'll focus on my content and try to find my audience and be dedicated, creative and yadda yadda yadda..."

As long as your audition and interviews go well you can really impress people.
Kronii barely made content for like a year before Holo. Just people talk more about the bigger past lives that have more stuff to them like how kiara and fwmc has been flopping around Japan failing to make it for like a decade.
