When the company got big, it both set up the entire western vtubing framework, as well as chose the demographic for it. As a result, everyone foregoes innovation to copy Hololive's homework for a small slice of the simp pie. The problem is streamers in general are almost exclusively not very talented people, the medium heavily relies on parasocial relationships to get you to stick around because the actual content isn't very good.
