I think she's completely cognizant of APEX and the impact it has on numbers, as well as how big the community for APEX is. It's her comfort game as she said herself, but I don't think she is under any illusion for how it impacts views or other metrics after doing her job this long. She plays regularly with several other APEX gamers and they are all very aware as well. My analysis: I have a feeling a lot of the channel growth is explosive but not necessarily sustainable. A lot of people are subbing because of the drama I imagine, but if a person is subbing for drama and not because they like doki as a streamer, when things inevitably settle down, they'll stop watching and become a dead sub.

Active watchers right now can be split into categories:
>Category 1: PL carry-over fans
>Category 2: Old doki fans who didn't want to watch PL and are returning
>Category 3: People who wanted to watch PL but didn't because Niji bad
>Category 4: People exposed or re-exposed to doki from the drama

The category 4 people are the large percentage. That category will split into 3 as time progresses.
>Sub Category 4.1 People who find they enjoy Doki and continue watching
>Sub Category 4.2 People who find they dislike or are neutral to Doki and stop watching or rarely watch

Right now is still the trial period where people are watching doki to try out the streams to see if they like them to become a 4.1 or 4.2 sub cat. It's a debut buff essentially. I suspect it'll be a solid 4 view, since she's basically adding new exposure on top of an already loyal fanbase from PL, but I don't see a 5 view continuing happening like it is now. If things unfold in the coming weeks to cast a negative view on Doki from a PR standpoint, this will also have an impact.

My philosophy is to whole-ass watching one channel than half-ass watching two.

What I meant was doki is getting tons of subs to the point of getting shadowbanned multiple times now, and she can keep getting subs as long as she keeps streaming, but her grow may gradually stop when she reaches certain milestones. Not sure why this happens but I have seen it before, and you can usually tell it's gonna happen when they get around the same amount of subs every day (for gura was 40k until 1m, with doki is around 20k, and for other holo en mems it was around 10k)
