The Selen termination was different because Selen has maybe not the same level of trust as fubuki, but more than anybody else in the branch as well as hordes of people outside of Niji vouching for her character above the company. Most of Nijisanji insulates themselves with other members. Selen went out and collabed with as many people from different agencies and indies as she possibly could. Hell, the only reason she could get back up so quickly is because she made friends with nocturnal.
