Corpo vtubers are mostly playing a role but there are enough times they drop that mask that you can tell how they feel about their employer. NijiEN has the most issues especially with their recent scandals but HoloEN was going through stormy weather in 2022 and 2023. The Japanese management structure tends to clash badly with indie vtubers who are used to having creative freedom.
