It's really lopsided towards nijiEN really. HoloEN is doing just fine (as far as we can tell). HoloJP is doing fine minus the Mel termination, and there is no way to say this without sounding bad, but Mel was not a very important member vs losing someone like say Pekora or Korone etc. It's like if nijiEN lost not even Kyo (...which they did) but like, Aia or Aster or something. But they did not lose some low tier people but two literal core, senior, pillar members. Pomu and Selen are utterly irreplaceable. It's like if HolJP lost Fubuki and Miko - fucking unthinkable. But the equivalent happened to nijiJP.

As for the Rushia shit, she has been out of Cover's hair for almost two years now. Whatever shit she is going through is bad but I mean, the problem was solved a while ago and it would look a thousand times worse if they did not fire her. Cover probably knew these kinds of details or at least some of them and realized Rushia is a ticking time bomb even far far worse than the Miko GTA stream one was, so ditched her probably assuming that shit was all imminently going to come to light and did not want to be stuck holding that hot potato. Cover is very lucky there was a long pause before this shit got out.

It's one of the main things that gives them actual credibility as a tech company because of the interest still in "metaverse" stuff from even big companies like Meta and Apple. It's all but certain at this point that Vtubing is no longer a "technical" enterprise or field of work because much of the work in AI research for other things has made the computer vision tasks and etc. which were the harder parts of Vtubing going from needing a team of people to do in Kizuna Ai's day doing it in a video production to letting code run on a GPU determine your expression, face and eye tracking better than that team can and do it in real time rather than in a produced video. Anycolor has almost after this whole fiasco lost its tech company status. Cover will lose it too after Holoearth fails.
