It depends on what context you've chosen for the rape - consensual noncon is different - but I'm going to assume by rape you mean there's a victim. Then there's different types of rape on top of that based on the rapist's attitude - correction, sadistic pleasure, just wants to get some from a hot momma etc.

My general advice would be figure out what you want the reader to feel beforehand. If you want them to jerk off and write it akin to smut, it's going to lessen any sympathetic responses because of the arousal.
