Yep. I'm gonna go with three big reasons why I think this is the case
>Rushia has a lower fan-base numbers wise than Marine
She's got less average CCV + Vod views than Marine does, and while a lot of people are aware of who Rushia is, ms Menhera Yandere is not for everyone
>Singing ability
Rushia has been improving, but Marine is definitely the best singer overall in Gen 3. That means a concert is gonna be a bigger multiplier for her than Rushia
>A full generation concert of the biggest JP gen is very special
A full generation means you get potential 5-man songs and all 5 members on stage at once. Given Hololive being big on pushing Gen-Unity from gen3 onwards, this is a bigger draw than a bunch of individuals who, while hype, haven't really been streaming a lot for one reason or another.

>> No.6719972

>>6719864
It's all about marketing. If she showed everyone and showed the picture a week ahead then you will get a flock. That's what Kanata and Marine did. Some retards thought Miko will be showing up instead of Haachama. Haachama comebacks always drive numbers upwards of 50k with her alone

Well, Aqua is finally streaming after being bogged down in work.

I'm gonna guess 25kish for her singing stream. It has been a while, but Aqua sings on the regular and almost always archived. Also going up in the same slot as Pekora Minecraft.

>> No.6720559

>>6719977
It's the setup up, and the build up.
Marine's had a full group song,
Rushia's was just focusing more on Rushia,
so the number will go and up and depending on who's on the screen similar to Kanata's 3D.
I predicted 130k last thread if it had followed Marine's setup, but it didn't.

Yea, it's still high for an event that focus more on a single talent than a whole group.
If I revise my calculation based of the appearance, it would be:
Rushia - 10k
Pekora - 25k

40k baseline + 40k box push + 20% tourist = 90k

100k is at least 10% higher. The growth is there.

Not a success but not a complete failure either. The live views being on par with the first wave means that they do have an audience but the audience has barely grown from when they started. Also personally, except for Rosemi, Wave 2 was kind of a letdown. The Penguin specifically was someone I thought would explode in popularity and she still kinda is but I think that's more to do with her design than the actual person behind it. If Sen was the one behind that avatar, even without the Holobuff she'd be a 1mil subs chuuba in 6 months.

Depends on if Gura streams for the next day or two. We know for sure that she's at least present in some way since she retweeted some fan-art, but there's a pretty good possibility that at least for today, she won't be streaming over Gura.
>>6732144
>Gura would transition to a post game zatsudan when IRyS starts streaming, so it will hurt a bit.
Yes, and there's a core contingent of Gura's fanbase in the PST zone that will stick around for that Zatsudan/SC reading that's about......8-10k? in size, based on what I've seen over the past few weeks where she at least tries to read as many SCs as she can.

It's hard to say though, today's game is very likely a make/break on how the community perception of her is molded. If she ends up attracting a fanbase that overlaps heavily with Gura, then she takes pretty big hits by streaming over her. If she instead attracts a calmer chat similar to Ina, then I can see her not taking nearly as bad of a hit.

As a Gura member, gods her chat is blazing fast and is like Twitch-chat Lite, since the sheer number of members means slow-mode does nearly nothing.

So I'll say...if Gura streams today, IRyS starts below 20k and maybe exceeds it after Gura ends her gameplay.

If Gura isn't streaming today, expect at least 20k to tune in to how IRyS wrangles this Kusoge for novelty's sake, maybe 25k tops.

Two things
1) Aruran is getting mad numbers. It clearly pays off to drive a narrative on Minecraft, it clearly drives interest and being attention. He’s also lucky he benefited from all the attention brought by Kanata on the struggle to fine a blue umpa.
2) it is weird to see most of the boys over 100k subs. Only two missing and they’re a couple months away
3) The tutorial true boss (Choco Sub) is picking 2k subs a week / 9k a month. That’s the “Holobuff” in a very quantified measure and all of the Hololads are at very least matching the 30 days number now. Well, two aren’t but they’re very close.

Many indies (and some corporate) would sell their cunnies for 9k/month and over 100k total. Props to the lads and to Choco sub, the one true tutorial boss.

It's a long stream where people come and go. 1 view is 30 secs. Like you said the range was unstable so that means people load up her stream over and over just to check if she's still streaming. That's the advantage of streaming long. The amount of likes (13k) gives you a rough idea of how many people atleast stayed to give her a view. You can estimate from there how many load up the stream again and again. We know for a fact that not everyone clicks the like when they watch something. I don't. So let's just atleast 25% does that means at least 52k people visited her stream and jumped out twice during the whole duration.

That would assume an expectation of collaboration between the livers. Aren’t them all being cornered into an increasingly smaller corner given that Niji’s commercial strategy is not “box pushing” but “survival of the fittest”?

Wave 1 livers stands to benefit zero from reducing their activity, that would cost them momentum, income and gain them nothing.

Live views and total views are totally different. Again. If you stay for at least 30 seconds and then close it you are considered 1 view. If you come back and open it again and stay for more than 30 secs you are considered another view. There is a reason why playbacks is part of the metrics. They want to know how many actually come back and how long do they stay.

>> No.6746455

>>6746082
last time im gonna repeat this for you, anonchama.
>once youve watched 30 seconds (added up all your skips and refreshes), you count +1 on the total view
>once youve watched the video's full legth, and only then, you'll start counting multiple times on the total views
>being tabbed in or out on the stream only matters for the live viewers count. But you even being tabbed out and just listening to the video for the whole period (which has you never count as a live viewer) still counts you as +1 for the total views anyways. Even if you only watched it live, the two items above are what counts you for the total view. If you refresh, or close/come back later to the same live, you only count as one total view, but your watch times get added up.

>> No.6747281

>>6746455
-You don't have to watch the entirety of the video to be counted as another view. An organic refresh is counted. On spammy ones such as loops are not counted.
-You assume that people stay and use the stream like a podcast which is not the case for everyone.
The post metric anon are Total Views, Playbacks (one account and how many times they come back) and watch time. Using playback alone tells you who are not subscribed. They use this as a counter for numberfagging milestones because they know how many people watch them but are not subscribed. Playback alongside watchtime already paints you a clear picture of why your total views are the way that they are. If your playbacks are mostly your own subs and the frequency adds up to your current total view then that means you don't have any tourist you can numberfag
https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/how-does-youtube-count-views

>> No.6747586

>>6747586
So the point here is the factor of Playbacks. If it is a natural playback then it will be counted as a view/s. Only spammy behavior are removed. As you can see from below they don't discredit refresh but they do discredit simultaneous viewing from the same account on different devices.

>To verify that metrics are accurate, YouTube may temporarily slow down, freeze, or change your metric count, and DISCARD low-quality playbacks.

Note: Using several devices to watch the same video and streaming the same video across several windows and tabs are examples of low-quality playbacks

>ITT: Overlapping
It doesn't matter if it's Hololive or Nijisanji (or any of the other agencies), they will grow in size beyond what can be managed and overlapping will be inevitable. The only way that you can mitigate this is if you set up fixed streaming schedules for all chuubas so that much of the same audience is conditioned to want to watch as many of them as possible. There will be those who will not bother with anyone other than their oshi, but that is to be expected. For the rest of the audience, giving them constant available entertainment is simply better for retention.

Assuming you are a manager and had to deal with this, how would you go about it?

Yeah, if you want non-overlapping schedules and micromanaged talents, you're just asking for black company stuff. Let them organically (as much as possible, anyways) figure out their own schedules, content, styles, etc. The audiences will come when they want to come.

>> No.6749399

Nothing for overlapping. Don't go around with preferential treatment outside of special events at most.
Forcing people to stream in specific timeslots is the wrong way to do it.
There's also the catch-22 where no one streams in certain hours, so no one watches. Because no-one watches, no one wants to stream in certain hours.
If I was management, I'd list hours that I believe are 'underutilized' and suggest someone stream in that time if they're interested.

I think they schedule their streams online where the other girls can see. I don't know if Irys already has access to it though. JP girls I believe just check the schedule or discord to see if anyone has a special event or announcement. The girls naturally give way for events and special announcements. As far as scheduling, at the same time, it's inevitable for JP because it's so big but EN still has some leeway and I think they just naturally decide to not overlap with someone else. When I saw Irys's sched I was wondering if Ame would overlap with her since she sometimes do a guerrilla stream at the same... Lo and behold.. She did. Anon how many TLs are there in NijijJP stream? How many are collabing frequently?
The magic of hololive is that when you get hooked by someone, you get dragged down into liking everyone else due to the constant interaction.
If they do get a surge of HoloEN watchers they will just experience it for a stream then fizzle out because of how unfriendly it is to EOP.

Dude. If Irys is any indication, debuting no matter the date is not a factor. That girl had just bad marketing. It's just the community spreading the word. Even the girl couldn't promote herself on Twitter.

This is bad for the planning team of Holo because it means that they aren't expanding outside of the clip watcher audience.

I will say this much. Cover needs to bring video editors in house and have them upload clips/reels of their streams since that will generate move revenue for them than the streams alone.

NijiJP has an official clip channel with EN subs that's updated far more frequently than anything HoloJP has. If they want TLs for clips they won't be lacking for it.

kek you're seriously underestimating the fanbase. Just having a debut post on reddit easily gets them more than 10k upvotes and get featured in r/all. Not to mention, twitter shilling by all of the members. What do you mean it's bad for the planning team anyway?

>>6759417
Too bad it's not gonna be favoured by the algo. You need a mix of good translation channels and clickbait channels to get recommended.

so i just recently realized this, why does nijisanji have their own topic on twitter while hololive don't?

Yea. As much as people bitch about "Muh steal-viewing clipfaggots' Cover understands that it's a give and take. So long as they don't go overboard and botch translations horribly/clickbait too hard, they're gaming YT's algo HARD for them. It's ideal for many, many different channels to be clipping a wide variety of Hololive things rather than having just one or two 'Official' clip channels.

For curiosity's sake, just opened up a new incognito window and watched Reflect. YT recommends suddenly everything Hololive. I doubt it'd be nearly THAT bad on an established account, but all it takes is literally one Hololive video to drop someone into the pit.

IMO, If/When Gura drops something that can hit mainstream like an Acoustic guitar original that blows everyone out of the water, her subcount is gonna skyrocket AGAIN, and a new wave of people are gonna get dragged into at least giving HoloEn a watch.

I wonder just how many more live viewers some of these streamers have than are being shown.
This VOD from Nov. 17 has almost 248k views and had 28.7k max live views and 24.5k average live views duration was about 2:11.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PrcEUr6PY4
This VOD from Jun. 29 has almost 264k views and had 17.3k max live views and 14k average live views duration was 2:14.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FmlfHVVR_U
The views on these two VODs make absolutely no sense unless an extremely large number of live views were purged especially given how long the VOD from Nov. has had to accumulate views.

In what realistic way would they have changed, especially since these are both Ina VODs.
The same streamer shouldn't have that much deviation. There is clearly an issue with the live view count.

Same fanbase, more of them deciding to watch the VOD rather than catching it live. Adds up to the same in the end as far as VOD views are concerned.

Changes in how live-views are tracked + cycled types of fans (Those that are willing to accept viewing the vod vs those that have to catch it live now that they've been around for a few months).

Timelooping the speculations, it's either Ad-block = not adding to the live viewer count or tabbed out = not counting to the count as the most likely causes.

>> No.6760756

>>6760553
Highly doubtful there would all of a sudden be more VOD watchers especially given that one of those VODs is 8 months old and the other 2-3 weeks.
There was a 10k difference in live views which usually makes an insane difference in the total view count.

Hmmm, the likes are 19k (Nov 2020) vs 20k (Jun 2021) and I think it's reasonable to say that likes should be roughly proportional to the number of people who interacted with the content (live or VOD). While it's possible that fewer people are sticking around for extending periods of time because the world's less pandemic-y, I'm still inclined to blame Susan for a sizable chunk of that gap.

At least today, I swear the view counter was updating every 3-5 seconds, and seemed to have a strangely consistent pattern where the CCV would jump by 500-800, then gradually lose that viewer spike before eventually doing another 500-800 ish spike roughly a minute or two later. I have no idea if the actual changes in viewership matched the peaks or the floors of these cycles, but it definitely felt like less of a CCV tracker and more of an on/off cycle.

>> No.6761558

>>6761046
I noticed that trend in the live counter too and it seems like it's filtering out live views.
Check out the live view graph for this Ame stream.
https://holo.poi.cat/stream/gGbXkos5E3o
I think that those plateaus are live views being purged when there is an update to the counter.
They only started to appear in graphs in December and they are much more apparent for some streams than others.
