There's probably a few pros and cons to it. Sounds like he was able to get ads on youtube to advertise (I never saw one, as I only get Netflix bullshit for some reason), which probably wouldn't work on Twitch. Pretty sure they have a thing against buying ads for streamers. Which means their debuts would have a harder time getting that info around.

It's also hard to replicate the 'original' vtuber naming scheme of *Name* Ch. *Japanese Name* on Twitch, which is why you don't see the username naming scheme there. Though honestly I don't really see a point to trying to replicate it but whatever, it's a trend.

Of course both have pros on cons. I could probably write an essay about it and at the end of the day, youtube and twitch are both managed by retards.
