It's too busy and doesn't fit her personality. Rushia is basically Tatsumaki, which is simple and does fit her personality. Rushia's design actually has multiple layers of meaning behind it, besides her basically just being flat and green.

It's really good when girls have a hand in their character's design because you want them to like it, but you're not a great judge of your own character and figuring out what works and what doesn't is more on artists and corporations than girls who sing and play Minecraft all day.

Pikamee and Pomu were both great designs with catchy names. But if they're happier with something else, then so be it. Their happiness matters more than anything else.
