That's not how things work. She originally wanted to graduate last year, but she endured for a few extra months because she had already signed up for the anime impulse event. Most likely she opted out for the concert or whatever things are trying to prepare for this year because they were too far in the future (or she didn't even think they would end up happening), and after seeing how fucking terrible was 2023 I don't blame Pomu for just deciding to quit. And don't forget that Niji must have known this for a long while, so they must have already arranged a date for Pomu's graduation so they can stop producing merch and stuff like that.

3D support out the wazoo, huge company funded vanity projects for EN, maybe they even domicile the branch in the US to free them of JP perms issues, branch starts growing again, viewership is on the rise; shit that's so good it's almost a fairy tale. It's too little too late.
Pomu's already gone, Lazulight is always going to be incomplete, every one of Pomu's memes and cultural contributions will be reluctantly retired, and the list just keeps going. It's possible for this branch to be happy again, and it's possible for Pomu to be happy again, but it's not possible for things to go back to what they were. There will always be stitches and scar tissue.

The January Anime Impulse was announced back in November, but was probably known about by the livers since at least October. October was also when Lazu-Eth were in Japan to record /something/ in 3D. I just don't understand why she would make the decision in October to choose to stay for AI in January, but also in October not choose to stay for 3D /something/ that should premiere in January/February (since it was recorded back in October). If January, February, or even March come with no 3D things happening, then yeah I totally understand why she left, but based on what Reimu and Finana have talked about recently, it definitely sounded like they were recording something in 3D back in October.
As for her graduation date, Pomu mentioned that her manager asked if she was sure she wanted to have it on the 19th, and not push it out later, so I don't think that date was 100% locked-in back in August or October or whatever.
