1. have a profile that looks appealing and professional (good banner, avatar, links, description, decent amount of posts, etc etc. Preferably have a pinned that has all the info a person who sees you for the first time would need)
2. slowly follow a lot of very small vtubers, preferably smaller than you and whose account looks "worse" than yours. If you do this correctly, a lot of them will follow you back.
3. repeat with bigger and bigger vtubers. Always look for ones that have less followers than you, everyone is more inclined to follow back if a bigger account follows them first.

If you can manage #1, this will help you get your first couple of hundred followers guaranteed, provided you are also actually posting decent stuff. Once you get there, you need to start engaging and actually talking to people bigger than that to get follow backs (they wont fall for the basic "trick", you have to trick them into believing you're forming a meaningful connection).

When people see a new account that looks interesting, the first thing they do is check their profile and check if it's followed by anyone they're following. If so, they're far more likely to engage.

If you're talking about the 3D model then I rage quit without saving it. I just need to accept that the way I like to draw things doesn't really work in 3D most of the time. I've run into this problem in the past. Kinda sucks because I like things to look a certain way, which is totally fine when I'm drawing, but in 3D I can't have it both ways. It can look good in one angle but it won't work in both. Trying to compromise makes none of the angles look good.
