When you're a content creator, you do get attached to friends you make along the way and the people you collab with, especially when you start to see how hollow some are behind the scenes. It's likely that Pomu was tired of seeing her real friends get axed and getting a bad deal from Nijisanji where they literally keep YouTube play buttons and stuff.

I'd assume vshojo is a natural choice since changing models and identity is a gamble, being able to create and maintain a new identity and have creative ownership of your own likeness and model is probably a huge factor regardless. If she were to go to Hololive, she would still be at the mercy of their management.
