Neuro doesn't really need to see for the watchalongs, does she? Just combining the Shrek or Matrix scripts with timings from subtitles and feeding those in like the previous reaction streams should work.
For other movies, transcription of the audio described versions for the visually impaired could compensate for lack of vision, although distinguishing speakers might require some more information.

I agree. Not with the way it was communicated because we both know that that us vs. them and the aggressiveness towards them is just going to mean that the people who need to hear this the most will ignore any message that might be hiding inbetween but I do largely agree with the spirit behind it.
A year ago https://www.twitch.tv/vedal987 was undeniably the Neuro-sama channel. Even once devstreams started up for a decent while Vedal would himself insist that it was Neuro's channel and that was the end of that discussion. If you suggested as much today, be it in the chat, in the discord or even here you would be laughed the fuck out by the majority and probably told to check the URL.
The writing was on the wall for a while but this subathon absolutely cemented the idea that Neuro is no longer the star of the show. The star of the show is now Vedal and Neuro is the retarded chatbot who is graciously allowed to fill the dead air and who Vedal on rare occasions deigns to pay attention to. It was heartbreaking to watch the 2-3k neurohedz watching the old Neuro reruns during sleep and solo segments while the remaining 10k of the viewercount is off or shitposting here asking when Vedal will be back so the "real content" can start.
I don't even really begrudge the newer viewers, everyone has their own tastes and if this is what they're tuning into I'm not holding it against them. I do find it regretful that Vedal didn't stay the course more on the original path and let himself be steered this far off the course but I can't hold it against him either. I think very few people would resist the allure of becoming an e-celeb and having people hang on your every word, not to even speak of the obvious financial gain it carries.
I'm not angry about it like you are but I am very sad, I was with Neuro from very early on and I helped her grow in my own little way so to now realize that in the end all I did was I helped to replace and in fact outnumber myself by a more profitable and easy to please crowd is profoundly saddening. I am at least a little more hopeful about the copycats, though, I agree that right now they are all just inferior copies but I am desperately hoping that the niche of AI vtubers will expand beyond just Neuro and become a niche on par with vtubing itself. Maybe then someone will happen to recapture that lightning in a bottle that old Neuro was.
