Well the giant difference in predictions for IRyS karaoke is because there are SO MANY factors that both make and also break her. The time slot and her looks aren’t to everyone’s liking, while some people may like her for singing, or simply her personality. To me though, she sounds too generic. While Gura seems to have a lot more emotion (some call it soul) in her voice when she sings. People tend to have difficulty evaluating the value of this for a singer, but it is apparently of some great value. I also evaluated the “fly me to the moon” song that both of them sang. It’s just my opinion after hearing a lot from both of them. Overall I do like both, but IRyS didn’t grab me like Gura’s singing. I felt indifferent over IRyS.

I think my prediction of 60k is accurate. Many here aren’t factoring in the great desire people will have in seeing a EN VSinger’s first karaoke. It’s a big deal IMO. I said before too, that people are underestimating IRyS, and that she will likely end up #2 in popularity for Holo EN. 1) 4 holomem collab with 2 of the most popular recently, at least 30k+ so 32k "only" is a bit of a disappointment
2) Kuzuha was playing with genburten, an Apex pro. Another instance where Kuzuha gets a buff collabing with an Apex eceleb. He was also speaking english the whole time which was pretty funny.
3) Ib continues to build the fucking death star block by block by himself
4) Average Pekora endurance singing stream to 1.6mil. She pulled huge numbers in her last 2 due to special circumstances, but 25k is around what she usually gets.
5) First Irys Apex stream got 25k quick but people needed to go to sleep in EST and she lost viewers over time.
6) Suisei usually gets 12k playing MC so Axolotl challenge buffed her a bit
7) Hal + Apex is always 15k+

I dunno, unless my memory is ass, Suisei's weekly archived karaoke runs CCV numbers similar to or better than Pekora's minecraft, even if you exclude the Coco one. I'd instead argue that there's a gap between karaoke where you're either expecting a mini live, or someone fucking around in front of a teleprompter. Suisei and Gura typically use them as mini lives where they put a decent amount of planning and prep into them, and IRyS has certain expectations as the new Vsinger, so projecting the expectations of at Suisei's crowd (mini live) seems reasonable.

Most of Gura's recent 3 hour streams are inflated by superchat readings. If you click on them, she usually stops playing games at the 1.5 hr mark and reads SCs/chats for 1.5 hours. The viewership during these times goes down by half, as expected. Pekora doesn't always end with a SC reading portion since she does multiple streams a day sometimes. Gura has to because she barely streams 4 times a week and she's already so hopelessly behind in SCs that the ones from her before her Bday stream still aren't read yet. I'm the anon you replied to, but I don't really agree with this. Lize and Kenmochi are 2 big Nijis that they lost, but they replaced them with Kuzuha and Kagami who are arguably more popular.

Some debuffs I can think of that might hurt their chances of surpassing 190k are that
- the lack of novelty factor being the 2nd of something
- the live viewer change in Dec 2020 might affect the peak numbers since Nijis got somewhat affected by it too

190k is gonna mog basically any holo event anyways. The only Holo moment more than 190k, disregarding Coco's graduation, is Gura's costume reveal for like 1 minute. Nothing else really came close.

Trying to come up with what event Cover can come up with that can sustain 150k+ and I'm struggling. Holos don't usually do big hype competitive events. The last one was the Mario Kart tournament and I believe if we add all the split viewers together, it beat 190k, but numbers don't work like that.

Ever since YT updated how they count their live viewers, it's safe to say that those numbers counts as one big group as opposed to Koshien event and Gura event where viewers are siphoned into one channel.
