It was great. She got into the setting and characters and got only bored by the political stuff in overly lengthy cutscenes which is completely understandable.
Her recognizing places and stopping the game to talk about Japanese culture was absolutely kino.
Turn based combat seems a great fit for her as well; as long as she doesn't panic she is good at RPGs.

Too bad that one mistake against Kiryu caused her to believe chat that she needs to grind even more which made the end-game too easy.
And people wanted her to get 5 to 10 more levels.

I really loved it. Best JRPG stream so far in my opinion.

It wasn't even like the Ryza 1 finale where she suddenly showed understanding of the game mechanics and rocked the boss.
She still only used the "Ichi has a second life" buff and the poison status and completely trashed the fight everyone was so scared of.

People can be surprisingly terrible at turn-based RPGs. Instead of thinking about which skill is best to use they either use them completely randomly or find one combo during their playthrough they like and stick to that forever.
It's honestly baffling.

Seasonal anime is not the only culturally relevant anime. Gundam is culturally relevant, even if its not airing right now. But yes, watching things seasonally is primarily to be part of the conversation on the ANIME YOU ENJOY.

That doesnt mean you just watch any anime that airs in the season. But most people gravitate towards the best shows, that are well produced etc.
