Marine really does draw herself in a cute way, I'd be really happy if she did more drawing streams

I wouldn't even mind if she spent way less time on individual drawings than even what she did for this one. I remember she was really surprised when, I think it was Botan or something, took home a drawing she did on a napkin? Like a quick doodle. Because I think she doesn't value her drawings the same way that people who don't draw value her drawings because it's so effortless for her to produce them.

it feels like she has a bunch of different timeframes she can draw stuff in.

A serious, "real" drawing for her is like 8 hours of meticulous, multi-stage drawing.
A half-serious drawing for a drawing stream takes like an hour or two.
A Passpartout drawing is like what she can do in 10 mins.
A gartic phone drawing is what she can get done given 1 minute to work with.

What I think is that marine doesn't realise how serious the diminishing returns are here. Some of her rushed gartic phone doodles look amazing. Some of her passpartout 10 minute drawings look really really good, and are definitely more polished.

But I don't think when marine spends another hour or seven on a drawing she adds that much value to it. But because she treats the passpartout etc. stuff as unserious larks and hyperpolished stuff as real art, she doesn't realise she has the ability to make lots of stuff that would amaze people and that people would love despite barely putting any time or effort into it. Like the napkin botan doodle. She was surprised because she doesn't get it, because that level of output is trivial for her. She's literally just too good, and it's like she only starts to find value in stuff once she has to suffer and grind to make it.

Really? Do you have a tweet, timestamp or clip of that? It sounds like an interesting story.

That's not true at all, otherwise she wouldn't still have all those old notebooks full of her high school drawings where by the way the first Sekawa character designs are found.
Marine is the kind of person who values the work she put effort and time into and tries her best to preserve her old history even if it's embarrassing (Sekawa itself) or a bit over the top (her old NND and Pixiv accounts) so she also tried as much as possible to restore her old VODs from before the Holo-caust, I doubt it would be easy for her to get rid of a doodle if someone else finds it valuable, unless she felt it wasn't up to her own standards, then I can imagine her throwing it away out of frustration.

yeah, とっとこハム太郎3 ラブラブ大冒険でちゅ, which was localized as Hamtaru Ham Ham Heartbreak, it actually got a localized English release, I played it as a kid. It was pretty okay honestly, a bit shallow but there plenty of worse games on GBA. You just kinda go around pairing characters from the show up, playing cupid for them.

Apparently it's pretty childhoodcore for Marine too. It really feels like she's spent her entire streaming career mining out all her childhood interests and revisiting them in a new context. I'm not sure she'll have that many left soon enough, especially if she's scraping the bottom of the barrel by breaking out Hamtaro 3 for the gameboy advance. Still, I'm keen for Subaru x Marine playthroughs, and this is nothing if not novel in terms of game choice. I wonder if even have GBA capture. I guess they'll have to use the Gamecube addon that lets you play it through the gamecube?
